Create IC Document Using Templates
Create Interactive Communication documents using predefined templates and reusable fragments. This ensures consistency and efficiency in document creation. Embed dynamic data by selecting the correct form data model (FDM) and inserting fragments into designated target areas. Test the final output for accuracy and formatting.

after creating the template and the required fragments. The next step is to create an interactive communication, IC, letter based on the template. When creating the IC, select the appropriate template and associate it with the correct FDM to enable dynamic data binding. Once the interactive communication is created, you can insert the previously created fragments into the defined target areas within the template. Open the interactive communication, IC, document in edit mode. You will notice the three target areas that were defined in the underlying template. These target areas act as placeholders where IC fragments can be inserted. Click on the fragments icon to display the list of available fragments. The list includes fragments that are associated with the same form data model, FDM, as the IC letter, as well as fragments that are not associated with any FDM. Drag and drop the client address fragment into the designated address target area within the template. Next, drag and drop the order confirmation letter body fragment into the target area defined for the letter body section. Once placed, the fragments will align with the structure defined in the underlying template and automatically bind to the associated form data model, FDM, to populate the dynamic content. Drag a text box onto the company address target area within the template. Click inside the text box and enter the company address details as static text. Once the content has been entered and properly aligned within the target area, save your changes to ensure the updates are retained. Now that the letter is complete, the next step is to test it using sample data. Carefully review the generated output for any discrepancies such as incorrect data binding, formatting issues, etc. Pay particular attention to the page numbering at the bottom of the letter to ensure it appears correctly on each page and does not overlap with the body content.
