In a marketing context, a persona is an audience segment defined by visitors, users, or potential buyers, who share a specific set of traits, such as demographics, browsing habits, shopping history, etc.
Predictive Audiences models take this concept a step further, by enabling you to use Audience Manager’s machine learning capabilities to classify unknown audiences into distinct personas.
Audience Manager helps you achieve this by calculating the propensity of your unknown first-party audience for a set of known first-party audiences.
Profile Merge Rules give Audience Manager customers the ability to define, manage, and activate audience segments based on identity rather than devices.
As of April 29, Audience Manager customers will be able to better understand the breakdown of device and cross-device ID populations for trait and segments within both individual segmentation and bulk reporting in the Audience Manager user interface.
This will allow for better insights into identity within Audience Manager, giving customers a holistic view on total segment population by device, person, and household. Bulk trait exports of both cross-device and device IDs will also be updated to reflect these enhancements.
Specific updates include the ability to:
- Report against cross-device IDs in the General and Trend reports;
- Enhance the Trait Selector in the Segment Builder to include trait populations keyed off CRM IDs;
- Create accurate trait exports keyed off cross-device IDs;
- Create accurate trait exports keyed off device IDs (should exclude authenticated traits);
- Return correct counts for traits associated to CRM IDs when requested using the BAAAM tool.
