Feature
Description
Announcements
Announcements are Global, Cloud, or Product-level messages with a wide impact. An example from the past would be a Covid-19 message. Other examples would be global security vulnerabilities like Log4j, or support center down, and so on. Announcements are not linked to an issue or maintenance. This feature is used to communicate with customers about updates at the Cloud or Product level.
Subscribers can now create new or edit their subscriptions to include Announcements in addition to issues and maintenances. An announcement notification is sent to the subscribers, depending on whether products they are subscribed to are impacted by the announcement. Subscribers receive these communications via the usual notification channels (email/Slack), and they can see the event on status.adobe.com web pages.
Adobe Advertising - The obsolete TV offering is retired, and subscribers are pointed to Demand Side Platform offering.
Banner on product offering pages now reflects the status of the product offering instead of showing the events across all of the product.
When a product impact is closed and downgraded to trivial at the same time, a closure notification is sent to customers about the downgrade.
Notification bug fixes
Canceled maintenance displays Scheduled/Started and Canceled dates correctly on banners.
If there is maintenance impacting multiple products, subscribers are notified only if their product is impacted. The email received shows the impact on their product only.

Beginning in July 2023, Adobe has discontinued the development of the Data Integration Library (DIL) and the DIL extension. Existing customers can continue using their DIL implementation. However, Adobe will not be developing DIL beyond this point. Customers are encouraged to evaluate Experience Platform Web SDK for their long-term data collection strategy. Customers looking to implement new data collection integrations after July 2023 should use Experience Platform Web SDK instead.

Experience Manager roadmaps and release videos
Adobe recommends visiting the following resources to stay updated on release information:
MSM for Content Fragments: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Multisite Manager is now available for Content Fragments, letting you create Content Fragment Live Copies for bulk content distribution. Granular inheritance controls are available down to Content Fragment Element and Variation level.
New feature in prerelease channel
The Content Fragments Console now lets users view tags and search by tags applied as metadata to Content Fragments. Users no longer have to switch to the Assets user interface for this capability, reducing context switching, and improving efficiency.
Experience Manager Assets as a Cloud Service
New features
Improved artificial intelligence framework for image Smart Tags – Experience Manager Assets now uses an improved artificial intelligence framework for image Smart Tags. This content intelligence results in better relevancy and precision of Smart Tags available to all image assets on ingestion.
Configure display of columns for Assets List view – Assets Essentials now lets you select the columns that display in the Assets List view, such as Name, Status, Format, Dimensions, Size, and Modified.
Sort search results based on relevance – Assets Essentials now sorts the search results based on Relevance, by default. You can sort the searched assets in increasing or decreasing order of Name, Relevance, Size, Modified, and Created.
Experience Manager Forms as a Cloud Service
New features
Out of the box themes and templates – Kickstart your form creation process with Adobe’s ready-to-use, out-of-the-box themes and templates, tailored to empower both seasoned professionals and new forms authors. Seamlessly built using Adaptive Forms Core Components, these meticulously curated themes and templates allow you to start creating forms swiftly for common use cases.
React Components for Headless Forms – You can now preview and customize Headless Adaptive Form renditions with the React components provided out of the box. These components use BEM classes from Adaptive Forms Core Components for styling, making it effortless for you to customize their appearance according to your specific requirements.
Create Adaptive Forms with repeatable sections – You can now make Accordion, Wizard, Panel, and Horizontal Tabs components based Adaptive Form repeatable for multiple data record capture. These repeatable sections allow you to provide multiple data entries easily. It is useful when the required instances of data are unknown in advance. A form filler can easily add or remove sections, making forms adaptable to different data entry scenarios and simplifying collection of multiple occurrences of the same data record.
New feature in prerelease channel
Google reCAPTCHA enterprise support – Use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise in an Adaptive Form to provide enhanced protection against fraudulent activity and spam, providing a safer user experience. With advanced risk analysis and seamless integration, genuine users can easily submit forms while bots are effectively blocked.
Headless Adaptive Forms early adopter program
Use Headless Adaptive Forms to let developers create, publish, and manage interactive forms that can be accessed and interacted with through APIs, rather than through a traditional graphical user interface. Headless adaptive forms help you:
Build high-quality multi-channel forms in the programming language of your choice
Natively integrate forms to your desktop and mobile apps, websites, and chat applications
Reuse your proprietary UI components with forms applications
Actions Center – Subscribe to email notifications that alert you when critical incidents happen requiring immediate action, and also with personalized recommendations to optimize your site. Actions Center serves as a hub where you can review these alerts, such as blocked replication queues or expiring credentials, and mark them as resolved.
CDN and WAF Rules early adopter program – Filter traffic at the CDN based on:
Request headers and properties (for example, IP address)
Traffic patterns known to be associated with malicious traffic
Interested in trying out the feature and sharing feedback? To learn more about the early adopter program, send an email to aemcs-waf-adopter@adobe.com from your official email ID. Space is limited.
Other Foundation changes – During the week of August 7, 2023 AEM will return error code 429 instead of error code 503 when requests to AEM instances exceed a healthy level. Learn more.
Cloud Manager
New features
Cards on the Cloud Manager landing page now indicate if enhanced security is enabled for their programs.
If a development pipeline contains no testing steps, users can optionally include testing steps when they start the pipeline. This functionality is going to be rolled out in a phased manner.
When canceling execution, the pipeline execution approval step now asks the user to provide a reason for canceling. This functionality is going to be rolled out in a phased manner.
Users can now access logs from the copy content process. This option is available only if both the source and destination environments are on AEM 2023.7.12549 or higher.
Bug fixes
Navigating to the authoring user interface from Cloud Manager no longer fails to redirect into Experience Cloud after login.
Editing the go-live date by way of the go-live widget now navigates to the Go Live tab instead of the Enhanced Security tab.
When starting a copy operation, a user can no longer select an environment where a copy operation is already invoked.
Workfront for Experience Manager enhanced connector
The release date for the latest version 1.9.11 of Workfront for Experience Manager enhanced connector is June 19, 2023.
Release highlights
When you have advanced networking configured, there are issues while sending content from Adobe Workfront to AEM as a Cloud Service.
While configuring project linked folders with AEM 6.4, Experience Manager does not save the values for sub-folders and Create linked folder in projects with portfolio fields. The value for the sub-folders field updates to undefined. The value for the Create linked folder in projects with portfolio field updates to Default Portfolio automatically after saving the configuration.
When you use the classic Workfront experience, the Send to option available in the More drop-down list does not let you select the target destination within Experience Manager. The Send to option works correctly using the Document Actions drop-down list. The Send to option works correctly for More drop-down list and the Document Actions drop-down list available in the new Workfront experience.
