Learn how to update content in a live journey.
Transcript
In this video, we’re going to show you how to update the content of a live journey in Adobe Journey Optimizer. Let’s say you’ve created a journey that has a thank you email for registering for an upcoming webinar, and an email reminding people about the webinar the day before the event. You recently learned that another speaker has joined the webinar, and you need to add that speaker to the email. I don’t want to change anything about the journey or create a new one with slightly different content, so I can just go into the emails that have already been created, and simply add the new information. First I click on the Email action, and click Edit Content. Then I go to the Email Designer and update the copy. You can see when I do this, there’s a banner telling you that you’re trying to change content on a live journey to ensure you’re being careful about what you’re changing. When I go back to the journey, here’s where I can decide to save the update to my email by clicking OK, or to discard the edits by clicking Cancel. I’ll go ahead and click OK. When I do this, I’m prompted over whether I want to update my journey based on the new content I just added. Until Update Journey is clicked, your journey will stay as it was. When I click on Update Journey, Adobe Journey Optimizer creates a republication of that journey so that it takes into account the email copy that we just updated. We haven’t changed the journey version since we haven’t changed anything about the journey itself, but if we check the email you’ll see that I have the updated version. Now for any customer entering this journey, or any customers that were already on the journey but hadn’t reached that email action, they’ll now see that new version of the email and not the previous one. One thing to note about editing live content is that you’re unable to edit personalization attributes. You should now know how to edit live content with an Adobe Journey Optimizer.
