Transcript
Let’s talk about versioning in Edge Delivery Document Authoring. In this video we will explore how to compare page versions or change tracking and content accuracy. Easily compare versions using Google Drive and SharePoint’s version tracking features to identify differences and track changes effortlessly. To view version history in Google Docs, open the document and click on File, then select Version History. You can choose the latest version to see who made updates and the changes they made. In SharePoint, open the document and select Version History from the Actions menu. SharePoint libraries have major and minor versions. Minor versions are represented by whole numbers, while minor versions are represented by decimals. When using Check in slash checkout, each change made by a user with a checked out document creates a minor version. External tools like Diffsite are available for comparing preview and production states of a page. Diffsite highlights differences between two URLs, enabling quick analysis of changes. Use Google Drive, SharePoint, and Diffsite to track changes, maintain content accuracy, and streamline version comparisons for high quality content.
