Transcript
Let’s talk about alt text for images. With Edge Delivery Document Authoring, it’s easy to ensure our websites are accessible and optimized for search engines by adding alt text and descriptions to our images. Let’s take a look at how this works across both Google Docs and MS Word. Adding alt text in Google Docs is simple. Right-click the image and select Alt Text from the context menu. Enter a concise, yet informative description in the dialog box. In Microsoft Word, the process is slightly different. Select the image and go to the picture ribbon. Click on Alt Text and enter a description in the dialog box. Similar to Google Docs, provide a meaningful description of the image’s content or function. If we move to the Publish page, you can see how the alt text renders. Document authoring detects and uses this alt text, which contributes to accessibility and SEO. As you can see, enhancing document accessibility and search engine visibility by adding accurate and concise image man descriptions couldn’t be easier with Edge Delivery Document Authoring.
