Let’s talk about customizing the Sidekiq in Edge Delivery, Document Authoring. As an example, Edge Delivery services does not have a built-in RSS feed reader so a developer may want to build a custom extension to the Sidekiq in order to facilitate this functionality. The Sidekiq can be extended to generate Atom feeds using a page index. This can be implemented through customizing the Sidekiq or using a custom plugin. Customize the Sidekiq for your project by adding a configuration file to your GitHub repository as shown here. Note the example configuration file here. Specify the plugin’s action using the URL property as shown here. Create code in the context of your page. In this case, the Event property shows the event to be executed when the plugin is clicked. Control the appearance of the plugin using the environment’s array as shown here. Create dropdowns from the plugin by using the IsContainer property and overrides set to True can be used to extend existing plugins.
