This is Russell with Adobe Commerce. I’m going to talk to you today about the filters in the admin and how they pertain to the grids and how to use them. So the first place we’re going to start off is where these filters are at. So if you go to stores, attributes, and then in this particular one we’re going to find a product attribute. And I’ve got a custom one here it’s called fun dashboard items so I’m just going to click on that. And the values that allow this to be set in the admin as a filter under advanced attribute properties and if you select use in filter options yes then that filter option for this product attribute in this example will be available in that grid. So let’s go ahead and head back over to our products grid in the admin. And you’ll notice it is actually a current active filter that I have and if I click on filters here is this as an option for one of the things that we can use to filter these results. So if I go back to stores product attributes and I uncheck that value and I change that to no and I hit save now when I go back to the product attributes you’ll notice that it automatically removed it from my active filters and if I click on filters it’s not an option. The other thing to note is that these attributes are unique per your admin user. So for example I’m logged in on this particular website and this admin as rAlbin and I’ve got two active filters. I’m looking for simple products with the attribute set of cars. So now I’m going to go ahead and toggle over to my other browser and I’m logged in as Smith here and you’ll see that I need to refresh the page because I have my fun dashboard items filter on and it doesn’t realize that there’s a change. So let me just reload the page and there you have it. You can see that the filter is gone and it’s not available and the option isn’t here anymore and once again I’m looking at my user. So this is the user Smith and I can add a different filter. So let’s just say for example I wanted to do catalog and search. So you can see my filters here are going to be different than what are here.
Just reload the page and it stayed simple products with the attribute set of cars. So I hope this helps. I hope that you do continue to use experience league to continue your journey learning more about Adobe Commerce and the other Adobe products.
