Welcome to Store Fulfillment for Adobe Commerce by Walmart Commerce Technologies. First let’s start off with the customer placing their order on an Adobe Commerce website. Here customers can customize their item selection and choose things like item colors, sizes and quantities to add to their cart. With Store Fulfillment, retailers can now offer a store pickup option under the delivery method. Customers have the flexibility to select their preferred store location for pickup by either selecting the store or searching by zip code. Customers can also see which stores have their items in stock and which locations offer in-store and curbside options. The customer selects their store and can see their order will be ready for pickup in about two hours. Pickup times are configurable based on store operations. Next, the customer adds the item to their cart and can see their order summary. The customer decides they would like to add another item to their order and simply adds the item to their cart. Now the customer can see their updated cart with both items. The customer can now proceed to checkout. Here the customer has the option to change their preferred store and select in-store or curbside pickup. An alternative pickup person can also be entered for this order. In this case we’ll choose curbside pickup and continue to payment. Here the customer can see the details of their order and choose their preferred payment method. In this case we’ll pay with a credit card and proceed to placing the order. Once the order is placed, the customer receives an order confirmation page with their order number. This confirmation is also sent to the customer via email. Now that the order is placed, let’s look at the employee application to pick the order. The employee can see they have a few orders to pick sorted by due date and time to the customer. The employee has the option to pick one or multiple orders. They select the first order and see picking instructions, which can be customized based on store operations. The store employee can then start picking from the order list and selects the first item. Now the employee selects scan item to activate the device’s camera and proceeds to scan the item. The correct item was picked and the employee continues to picking the next item. Again they select scan item and scan the item they have picked. In this case the employee is shown an invalid scan alert because the wrong item was picked. The employee chooses a new item to scan and the scan is successful so the employee continues to review the picked items in this order. Once they are finished, the employee selects review complete and is prompted to prepare the order for staging. The employee selects the order that was just picked under not staged and provides staging information like room number and shelf location for a seamless handoff. Staging is now complete. Once the order is complete, the customer is alerted via email that the order is ready for pickup and can review the order details as well as pickup instructions. Once the customer arrives at the store, they confirm their arrival and are prompted to provide information to identify their location and vehicle. The customer enters their parking spot, car color and car make as well as any additional information they want to provide. Once complete, the customer is notified that a store associate is on the way with their order. The employee can now see the customer is waiting for pickup and retrieves the correct order from the staging area for handoff. The store employee hands off the order to the customer and has the capabilities to capture or can offer contactless handoff. The customer also receives an email with their order summary. If any items were rejected, the items are removed from the order and a refund is issued.
