In this video, we will be walking through Create New Quote by Cella. We will create a quote for a customer from Quotes and Customer Edit page in the Adobe Commerce admin. As a prerequisite, your Adobe Commerce instance should have enabled company and quote features. Adobe Commerce instance in this demo pre-populated with test data such as stores, products, and categories, companies and customers. Let’s go to the Quotes page in the Adobe Commerce admin. Click on Create New Quote, lead us to select Customer Screen. You will see only company users. The individual users do not show on this page.
There is ability to search for the user by different fields. Once customer is selected, select store screen is presented. Here we can see list of stores customer associated with.
Let’s go back to customers page and select different customer. You see that this customer associated with different website and store. From here, you can select store and create a quote. New quote is empty and is in draft status. At this point, new quote is not available for the customer on storefront. Let’s check what is available for this customer. As you may see, new quote is not there yet.
There is also no email notification about it. Let’s go back to Adobe Commerce admin and finalize that quote.
If you try to send without any products, you will get an error message that tells you that it cannot be empty and that you have to add items. You can change name for the quote.
Add products.
Give some discount.
Now you should be able to send.
It was successful.
You will see in the history that the status changed to submitted, that the quote name changed. Let’s go back to storefront and see if it is available for customer.
You are able to see the quote, it is details and history log.
Also, there is email notification when quote is sent.
Now we will go back to the Adobe Commerce admin panel and create a new quote from the customer page. Here we have list of customers including individual users. If we open individual user profile, you will notice there is no create quote button. Let’s go back and select a company user.
You can see there is create quote button available. Let’s create quote for this user. You can see list of customers including individual users. Let’s create quote for this user. You can see list of websites and stores this customer associated with.
Once store is selected, a new quote is created. From here, process is similar to what we have done before.
