Hi guys. So today I’m going to be showing you how you update the domain name of your Magento to installation. And this is the first time that I’ve done it as well, so we’ll see where it’s together, shall we? Okay, so in Magento one, I would always go system configuration, so is it in there, doesn’t look like it, no. Let’s have a look in stores, there it is under settings configuration, I’m going to guess it’s in here, yeah, this looks right. Go to web and here base URL is great. So at the minute we can see the base URL is the next extended one, so I’m going to do, I’m going to go and get my new domain name and type that name instead.
Anybody spot the problem with what I’ve entered? Okay, so it’s saying that my base URL is invalid and that is because I didn’t put on the end. So it’s just if that comes up, it’s because you’ve missed the off the end. It’s not that clear in the error message, and that’s what you’ve done wrong. Now, the page is refreshed, and I’m on something majestic.com/ my admin URL.
And I can just log in with the same credentials again.
Now give me my dashboard, click about cash so, I’m just going to go in and refresh them as well, so that its not swinging at me.
Great, everything’s brill. Lovely job. -
