Campaign Object Fields

This lesson covers Salesforce CRM Campaign object fields that Marketo Measure uses to map campaigns and campaign members to marketing channels. Understanding what these campaign objects do is important as you manage and map your offline channels in Marketo Measure.

Transcript
Lesson four, campaign object fields. In this lesson, we will look at the campaign object, Salesforce fields that Bizible uses to map campaigns and campaign members to marketing channels.
Understanding what these campaign object fields do is important as you manage and map your offline marketing channels in Bizible.
Starting with the campaign name field, Bizible will drop this field into any touchpoint or Visible attribution touchpoint in the ad campaign name fields as well as the Salesforce campaign fields.
The campaign type field is used to map your offline campaigns to channels and sub-channel as covered in the next lesson.
Next, the Enable Bizible touchpoints field includes three possible values include all campaign members which makes the campaign eligible for attribution meaning that it can be credited to an opportunity if the dates of the campaign match accordingly, include only respondent members means that only the campaign members with a respondent value are eligible for attribution. And lastly, exclude all campaign members, meaning that this campaign will not be considered for attribution.
You may want to use this option if the campaign is used to keep a list upload which is not an actual marketing interaction or if you use campaign objects for outbound dialing teams to manage their calling efforts.
The start and end date fields help you narrow the time range that the marketing campaign took place so that it is only considered for attribution during that period. This is useful if you want to create touchpoints before Bizible was installed. For instance, if you used campaign objects to track digital marketing interactions previously, you can set the end date for immediately before Bizible began tracking interactions with its JavaScript.
Next, let’s look at campaign members, campaign members are nested in the campaign object and are added to Salesforce using the manage members Dropdown, campaign members can refer to either leads or contacts and are used for assigning Bizible touchpoints and Bizible attribution touchpoints.
If you click on Edit next to a Campaign member, you can modify the fields that determine the touchpoint information for that member. At the top, you can modify the touchpoint date itself, associate the member with an account, and below, you can manually input a revenue attribution amount. At the bottom is the status dropdown, this field is used if you have include only respondent members selected for the enabled Bizible touchpoint field in the corresponding campaign.
In that case, the touchpoint date for this member will be set once the status field is changed to respondent.
If include all campaign members is selected for the campaign instead, then the created date of this campaign member will serve as the touchpoint date for any BTs or BATs associated with it.
Since both the created date and the first respondent date fields cannot be changed once they are set, the custom Bizible touchpoint date at the top allows you to modify the date as needed and will override both the created date and the first respondent date fields. Finally, the three touchpoint status fields will indicate whether Bizible has created touchpoints for the current campaign member on either the lead contact or the opportunity fields. The touchpoint status date simply shows you the last time that these three fields were updated. The touchpoint status fields are not enabled by default.
