Modifying Permission Sets (production instance)
Learn how to modifying Permission Sets in Marketo Measure (production instance).
In this lesson we’re going to go over accessing and assigning permission sets in Salesforce. First you’re just going to click on Setup here. Then we’re going to go under Administer, click on the Manage Users, and click on Permission Sets. And here you’ll see the three different main types of visible permission sets. You’ll see Visible Administrator, Visible Marketing User, and Visible Standard User. If you want to assign somebody to the Visible Administrator permission set, you’ll just click on it and then click on Manage Assignments. And then you can select a user in this case and click on Assign.
And then you’ll see that that user has been assigned as an administrator. So if we just go over the different permission sets briefly, the Visible Administrator gives the admin the ability to create, read, write, and delete records from visible objects. You should make sure that the license Visible uses to push data to Salesforce has an administrator permission set. We also recommend that you give this license the ability to edit converted leads in scenarios where a lead is converted prior to Visible applying data to the record. So this will ensure accuracy in reporting between Salesforce and Visible. And you can read more about this on the link to the right.
And one more thing to keep in mind here is that if a connected user would like to have access to the campaign object, they’ll need marketing user Salesforce profile enabled or above in order to have access to that object.
Okay.
