This video provides an in-depth explanation of the First Touch Model.
Transcript
The first touch model is the first marketing interaction of a prospect, either from an anonymous web visit or membership in a campaign. Let’s meet John. He’s looking for a staff solution to help him meet some goals. John conducts a Google search and clicks on one of the links. This visit is the first touch. In your Salesforce environment, you can easily see information regarding a prospect’s first touch. Since we’re talking about revenue attribution, we’ll look at an opportunity. In the first touch model, the touch point gets 100% of the revenue attribution.
