Interface modernization
This page lists interface updates we are making throughout Adobe Workfront to improve the user experience and unify it with other Adobe applications. These changes are primarily visual and will not significantly alter workflows, unless otherwise noted.

Admin and Setup
Updates to dialog when deleting an item that is in use
Preview release: November 13, 2025; Production release: November 20, 2025
The following objects now have an updated dialog when deleting an item that is in use:
- Access levels
- Companies
- Expense Type
- Group / Timesheet Profiles
- Hour Type
- Risk Type
- Schedule
- Timesheet Profile
The new dialog is now consistent with other areas of Workfront. There is no change to functionality.
Interface updates for the Add and Edit Companies dialogs

We have updated the dialog boxes for adding and editing companies with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.

Projects
New experience when working with template tasks

We have updated the experience when working with template tasks.
The following changes are included in this update:

The template task list in the Subtasks section of a template task now matches most lists in Workfront

The New and Edit Template Task boxes have a new look and feel

You can now update external lookup custom fields when editing template tasks

There is a new experience for assigning resources to template tasks. The new experience is now available both when editing one task or editing several tasks in bulk. The following fields have been removed from the Edit tasks box:

Allocations
- Owner or Task Owner
- Assignee’s Role
You can still find the removed fields when making advanced assignments on template tasks.

New experience when bulk editing and single- or bulk-assigning tasks

We have updated the Edit Tasks box when editing single tasks or editing them in bulk.
The following changes are included in this update:

Interface update when converting a task to a project using a template

We have updated the Convert to project box when converting a task to a project using a template. The design of the box now matches the Edit Project box.

New experience when bulk editing and single- or bulk-assigning issues

We have updated the Edit Issues box when editing single issues or editing them in bulk.
The following changes are included in this update:

Interface updates for the New and Edit Risk box in a custom dashboard on a project
Preview release: October 16, 2025; Production release for all customers: Starting the week of October 23, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the New and Edit Risks boxes when you create or update an existing risk . The new design now matches other areas of Workfront. To access the new design, create a risk report and place it on a dashboard, then add the dashboard to a project and manage the risks from the dashboard.

Users
Interface updates for personal time off
Preview release: October 23, 2025; Production release for all customers: Starting the week of November 13, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the personal time off calendar, including the ability to delegate approvals, to match other areas of the application.
To view these changes, go to your user profile and click Time Off in the left panel.

Interface updates to the Import users dialog on Companies
Preview release: October 9, 2025; Production release for all customers: Starting the week of October 16, 2025
We have updated the dialog box for importing new users on a company via a spreadsheet file, to match other areas of the application.
To view this change, go to Setup > Companies > select a company > Company Members > Add member > Import users.
New interface and functionality for the New and Edit Milestone Path boxes
Preview release: October 2, 2025; Production release: Starting the week of October 9, 2025
The New and Edit Milestone Path boxes now have a new interface. The milestone path list has a new look and feel and some functionality in this area might have changed.

Interface updates when adding or editing group timesheet profiles
Preview release: September 30, 2025; Production release: Starting the week of October 2, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the Timesheet Profile page when editing or adding a group timesheet profile.
To view these changes, go to Setup > Groups > select a group name > Timesheet Profiles and either add a new profile, or edit an existing one.

Interface updates for the Status lists

We have updated the look and feel of Status lists to match the design in other areas of the application.
This update affects:
- The Statuses area under Setup > Project Preferences
- The Statuses are when viewing a group
Interface updates for the Severities area in Setup
Preview release: September 25, 2025; Production release: Starting the week of October 23, 2025
We have updated the Severities page with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
A visible change in the interface is that to make a severity the default or to delete a severity, you must select the check box next to the severity name and choose an option from the action bar at the bottom of the screen.

Interface updates for the Priorities area in Setup
Preview release: September 25, 2025; Production release: Starting the week of October 23, 2025
We have updated the Priorities page with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
A visible change in the interface is that to make a priority the default or to delete a priority, you must select the check box next to the priority name and choose an option from the action bar at the bottom of the screen.

Interface updates when adding or editing timesheet profile in the Setup area

We have updated the look and feel of the Timesheet Profile page when editing or adding a system-wide timesheet profile.

We have updated the look and feel of the New and Copy Scorecard boxes to match the design in other areas of the application. You can view the updated design when creating or copying a scorecard in the Setup area of Workfront.

Interface updates for the layout templates list in a group
Preview release: August 28, 2025; Production release: September 4, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the layout templates list in the left panel in a group to match other areas of the application.
To view these changes, go to Setup > Groups > select a group > Layout Templates.

Interface updates when editing a Scorecard
Preview release: August 28, 2025; Production release: August 28, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the when editing a Scorecard to match the design in other areas of the application. You can view the updated design when editing a scorecard in the Setup area of Workfront.
A small functionality change has been applied to the Scorecard. To edit a Scorecard, select the Scorecard from the list and click the Edit icon. You are no longer directed to the Scorecard details page before you can edit.
Interface updates for the Review and Approval notifications page in Setup

We have updated the Review and Approval notifications page with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.

Interface updates for the Add and Edit Billing Records dialogs

Interface updates for the Send update to user box on groups

We have updated the look and feel of the Send update to user box when accessing it from the list of group members and the list of subgroup members.
The Send update to user box now matches other areas of Workfront when you send an update to one or multiple users.

Interface updates to recently deleted items
Preview release: August 14, 2025; Production release: August 21, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the recently deleted items in the Setup area, to match the design of other areas of Workfront. No functionality has changed for recently deleted projects, tasks, requests, documents, or templates.

Interface updates for the Conditions area in Setup
Preview release: August 7, 2025; Production release: August 18, 2025
We have updated the Conditions page with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
A visible enhancement in the interface is that the Edit and Delete buttons now appear next to conditions you can edit, and you no longer have to hover over a condition to find the Edit and Delete icons.

Interface updates for the Timesheet Profiles list in a group

We have updated the look and feel of the Timesheet Profiles list in the left panel in a group to match other areas of the application.

Interface changes for the New and Edit Hour Type boxes

We have updated the look and feel of the New and Edit Hour Type boxes when adding or editing hour types to the Hour Types area of Setup. The Hour Types area displays under the Timesheet & Hours area of Setup. The New and Edit Hour Type boxes now match other areas of Workfront.

Interface updates to the Audit Logs page in Setup

We have updated the Audit Logs page in Setup to match other areas of the application.
The export button has moved to the right side of the page.

Updated experience when editing a Topic Group in a project or template

We have updated the look and feel of a Topic Group when editing it on a template. The Topic Group editing page now matches the design of other areas of Workfront.
A small functionality change has been applied to the Topic Group. To edit a Topic Group, select the Topic Group from the list and click the Edit icon. You are no longer directed to the Topic Group details page before you can edit.

Interface changes when editing a Routing Rule for a template

We have updated the look and feel of a Routing Rule, when editing it on a template. The Routing Rule editing page now matches the design of other areas of Workfront.

Look and feel updates for the Update Feeds section of Setup

We have updated the look and feel of all the tabs and subtabs in the Update Feeds section of Setup. The Update Feeds section displays under the Interface area of Setup. Now, all the tabs in the Update Feeds section match other areas of Workfront.

We have updated the look and feel of the Add fields box in the Update Feeds section of Setup. The Update Feeds section displays under the Interface area of Setup. Now, when you add fields in any subtab of the Tracked Fields tab, the Add fields box has a new look and feel, and some of the interface elements have been updated.

Interface updates for creating, copying, and editing schedules
Preview release: June 18, 2025; Production release: June 26, 2025
We have updated the dialog box for when you create, edit, or copy a schedule with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
There are a few small functionality changes with this update:

On the Schedule tab, we have improved the way you select hours for the schedule.

On the Details tab, all of the checkboxes are in one column instead of two columns.

On the Exceptions tab, if you want to change an all-day event to a partial-day event or a partial-day event to an all-day event, you have to delete the existing event and then create a new one.

Update to the Access Levels dialog

We have updated the Access Levels dialog box with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
The button to fine-tune access has moved to the right of the Edit button.

Interface updates for the Import Data (Kick-Starts) page
Preview release: May 29, 2025; Production release: June 5, 2025
We have updated the Import Data (Kick-Starts) page in the Setup area with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront. Also, the Kick-Start import process was streamlined so that the selected file is uploaded immediately. You no longer have to click a separate Upload button to complete the import after choosing the file.

Interface updates to the Expense Types list

We have updated the look and feel of the Expense Types list in the Setup area, to match the design of other areas of Workfront.
A small functionality change has been applied to the Expense Types list. To edit or delete an expense type, select it in the list and click the appropriate icon. Note that you can’t edit or delete the default expense types.

We have updated the look and feel of the recently restored items for groups, to match the design of other areas of Workfront. No functionality has changed for recently restored group projects, tasks, requests, documents, or templates.

Interface updates to the Diagnostics page in Setup

We have updated the look and feel of the Diagnostics page in the Setup area, to match the design of other areas of Workfront.

We have updated the Advanced Search area with the following changes:
- Added a new Full Search tab. On this tab, you can search by type, entered by, entry date, category, and last updated by.
- The filter on the Advance Search tab is slightly different. Now, the filter is not prepopulated. You must toggle it on and build the filter from scratch. The filter does not remain if the page is refreshed.
- The Advanced Search is now full screen. You must navigate away from the page rather than closing the dialog.

URLs with /tile or /qstile no longer supported in Workfront Dashboards

If you have an external page on a Dashboard with a Workfront URL that contains /tile or /qstile, that page will no longer load.
Adding /tile or /qstile to a Workfront URL allowed the browser to load unsupported classic experience pages that were deprecated in July of 2022.
We recommend replacing the URL to go to a supported page, or removing the external page from your Dashboard.
