Interface modernization
This page lists interface updates we are making throughout Adobe Workfront to improve the user experience and unify it with other Adobe applications. These changes are primarily visual and will not significantly alter workflows, unless otherwise noted.

Admin and Setup
Interface updates to subgroup dialogs
Preview release: July 10, 2025; Production release: July 17, 2025
We have updated the dialog boxes for adding a subgroup, editing a subgroup, and copying a subgroup, to match other areas of the application.
To view these changes, go to Setup > Groups > select a group > Subgroups. (The dialogs for adding, editing, and copying a subgroup from the main list of groups have already been updated.)

Look and feel updates for the Update Feeds section of Setup
Preview: June 27, 2025; Production for everyone: July 10, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of all the tabs and subtabs in the Update Feeds section of Setup. The Update Feeds section displays under the Interface area of Setup. Now, all the tabs in the Update Feeds section match other areas of Workfront.

Look and feel updates for the Add fields box in the Update Feeds section of Setup
Preview release: June 27, 2025; Production release: July 10, 2025
We have updated the look and feel of the Add fields box in the Update Feeds section of Setup. The Update Feeds section displays under the Interface area of Setup. Now, when you add fields in any subtab of the Tracked Fields tab, the Add fields box has a new look and feel, and some of the interface elements have been updated.

New look and feel of the lists in the Timesheets & Hours section in the Setup area

Interface updates for the Companies page

We have updated the Companies page with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
This update includes visual changes to the list of companies. No functionality has changed.

Update to the Access Levels list in Setup

We have updated the Access Levels list in Setup with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.

Interface updates for creating, copying, and editing schedules
Preview release: June 18, 2025; Production release: June 26, 2025
We have updated the dialog box for when you create, edit, or copy a schedule with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
There are a few small functionality changes with this update:

On the Schedule tab, we have improved the way you select hours for the schedule.

On the Details tab, all of the checkboxes are in one column instead of two columns.

On the Exceptions tab, if you want to change an all-day event to a partial-day event or a partial-day event to an all-day event, you have to delete the existing event and then create a new one.

Update to the Access Levels dialog

We have updated the Access Levels dialog box with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
The button to fine-tune access has moved to the right of the Edit button.

Interface updates for the Import Data (Kick-Starts) page
Preview release: May 29, 2025; Production release: June 5, 2025
We have updated the Import Data (Kick-Starts) page in the Setup area with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront. Also, the Kick-Start import process was streamlined so that the selected file is uploaded immediately. You no longer have to click a separate Upload button to complete the import after choosing the file.

Interface update for the Access Log tab in Setup

We have updated the Access Log tab with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.

New look and feel of the New and Copy Scorecard boxes

We have updated the look and feel of the New and Copy Scorecard boxes to match the design in other areas of the application. You can view the updated design when creating or copying a scorecard in the Setup area of Workfront.

Interface updates to a group’s recently restored items

We have updated the look and feel of the recently restored items for groups, to match the design of other areas of Workfront. No functionality has changed for recently restored group projects, tasks, requests, documents, or templates.

Share a document with an external email address

We have updated the share dialog box to allow users to share documents with external users using an email address. This funtionality was temporarily unavailable due to the interface modernization work.
Navigation and search
Interface update for Advanced Search
Preview release: April 17; Production release: Starting the week of April 24
We have updated the Advanced Search area with the following changes:
- Added a new Full Search tab. On this tab, you can search by type, entered by, entry date, category, and last updated by.
- The filter on the Advance Search tab is slightly different. Now, the filter is not prepopulated. You must toggle it on and build the filter from scratch. The filter does not remain if the page is refreshed.
- The Advanced Search is now full screen. You must navigate away from the page rather than closing the dialog.

Look-and-feel changes of the New Topic Group box of a project

We have updated the look and feel of the experience when creating or editing Topic Groups for Request Queues, to match other areas in Workfront.
The new experience is available when creating or editing Topic Groups in projects or templates.

We have updated the Associated projects section of a project with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
Specific customers can view this change by going to a project’s Associated projects section in the left panel.
New look and feel for the “Save as template” box

We have updated the look and feel of the “Save as template” box that displays when saving a project as a template. The new design includes a streamlined interface, where all the sections display in one cohesive form which you can navigate by using links in the left panel. The new design matches other areas and other objects in the application.

Look and feel updates for the Delete Issue box

We have updated the look and feel of the Delete issue box when deleting one or several issues. The Delete issue box now matches other areas of Workfront.

URLs with /tile or /qstile no longer supported in Workfront Dashboards
Preview release: May 13; Production release: To be announced
If you have an external page on a Dashboard with a Workfront URL that contains /tile or /qstile, that page will no longer load.
Adding /tile or /qstile to a Workfront URL allowed the browser to load unsupported classic experience pages that were deprecated in July of 2022.
We recommend replacing the URL to go to a supported page, or removing the external page from your Dashboard.
Users
Interface updates to the organizational chart

We have updated the look and feel of the organizational chart associated with a Workfront user, to match the design of other areas of Workfront.
To view this change, go to a Workfront user profile and click Org Chart in the left panel. (This feature is available through the Workfront user profile, not the Adobe user profile.)

Interface update to the new user registration page

To enhance performance, we’ve made some visual updates to the Access Levels area in Setup.
A small functionality change has been applied to the Access Levels list. To copy, edit, or delete an access level, select the level and click the appropriate icon.

We have updated the Teams > Backlog area with a more modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront.
This update includes the following changes:
- Visual enhancements to the Stories and Issues tab as well as the Breakdown Story dialog box
- A new dialog box for the Plan Iteration tool. You must select a story or issue for the Plan Iteration button to appear.
- You can no longer switch between the Stories and Issues tab when planning an iteration. You can add stories or issues from the backlog tab once the iteration is created.

We have updated the look and feel of the Queue Details area on a project, to match the design of other areas of Workfront.
With this update, the look and feel of the Queue Details area of a template has not changed.

Updated view of a project milestone path in a project view
Preview release: March 13, 2025; Starting the week of April 10, 2025
When accessing the milestone path from a project list or a report, the milestone details page now has a new look and feel. You must add the Milestone Path Name field to the view of the list or report to be able to access the milestone path’s details page.
With this update we have also added information about the colors and color codes of each milestone.

Interface update for the More menu options for comments
Preview release: April 17, 2024; Production release: April 17, 2024
We have updated the look and feel for the options available in the More menu of a comment in the Updates section for all objects.
This update includes the following changes:
- Rearranged the actions so that similar functions are grouped together.
- Inserted dividers to clearly separate each group.
- Highlighted the Delete action by displaying it in red.
