Set up reporting for Analytics-only implementations
Before an Analytics-only implementation can collect streaming media data, each report suite that receives that data must be configured to enable the appropriate media modules. This page describes how to enable those modules and where to find the resulting reports.
- Prerequisites: An Adobe Analytics implementation. See the Analytics-only implementation overview and your chosen implementation method.
Enable media reporting on a report suite
Each report suite that collects media metrics must be configured before media data is sent.
-
In Adobe Analytics, navigate to Admin → Report suites.
-
Select the report suite(s) that collect media data. Select Edit Settings → Media Management → Media Reporting.
-
On the Media Reporting page, enable the desired streaming media modules (see below).
-
Select Save.
If this report suite is already configured to collect media data, after you select Save, an additional configuration page is displayed. If you see the Media Core measurement page, continue to the next step.
Available streaming media modules

Available media panels in Adobe Analytics
Analysis Workspace includes three dedicated media panels for customers with the Adobe Analytics for Streaming Media Add-on. These panels provide pre-built visualizations for the most common streaming media reporting needs.
- Media average minute audience: Compares average content consumption across programs of any length or genre. Supports both specific content (duration-based) and custom time period modes, and allows updating duration classifications after the fact.
- Media concurrent viewers: Analyzes concurrent viewers over time to identify peak concurrency and drop-off points. Supports configurable granularity and series breakdown by segments, dimensions, or date ranges.
- Media playback time spent: Analyzes playback duration over time with details on peak and trough periods. Supports configurable granularity and output format (hours or minutes).
