Update 50
Release date: Oct 24, 2019
New and enhanced features Newandenhancedfeatures-3
Create custom role with multiple catalog scopes createcustomrolewithmultiplecatalogscopes
As an Administrator, you can restrict a custom role based on Catalogs and User Groups. All users belonging to such roles can only see Learning objects from the Catalog in their scope. These users can only perform actions that were defined in the scope of their User Groups.
So far in Learning Manager, a custom role could be scoped on multiple catalogs for a single User Group with full permissions.
In this update of Learning Manager, you can create a custom role to be scoped over multiple catalogs with each catalog being granted different set of permissions. For more information, see Custom role scoping over multiple catalogs.
Enhancements to search enhancementstosearch
Learning Plan
On the Learning Plans page for Administrators and Authors, there is now a search bar, which you can use to search any Learning Plan.
Administrator and Author apps
In this update of Learning Manager, as an Administrator or an Author, in addition to executing a type-ahead search, you can execute free search to search any Learning Object.

When the learner comes back to the Catalog or My Learning pages using the browser back button, the filter remains preserved. The filter that a learner had applied earlier no longer gets reset.
Control visibility of search filters controlvisibilityofsearchfilters
In earlier versions of Learning Manager, Administrators do not have control over visibility options of a catalog filter, so that learners do not see the skills and tags. In this release of Learning Manager, and Admin can filter types, skills, and tags of a catalog.
In the Settings page, for the category Show Filter Panels, when you click Edit, you can see the following options. The options determine the filter panels that are visible to learners, so that the learners can fine tune the search results.
For more information, see Show filter panels.

If an Author creates a course by adding a Classroom or VC module, the Author can opt to:
- Not add a start/end date and start/end time.
- Add a date, but not a start/end time.
- Add a date and a start time.
