Create and design email deliveries

Welcome to Adobe Campaign Classic. And by the end of this module, you will be able to describe the process for creating email delivery, design the email content, and also use personalized fields in your email. Let’s dive right in and start creating our first email delivery. Feel free to follow along on your own Campaign Classic instance. To create and design email deliveries, start by navigating to the Campaign section of the From here, click on Deliveries, and you will be able to see a list of all previous deliveries that have been created. Click on Create to start crafting your first email delivery. On this interface, select Email Delivery Mail on the dropdown and modify the other parameters as needed. Let’s change our label to My First Delivery. Select Continue when you’re ready. This is where you can start crafting your email content. Start by adding some recipients to your email campaign by clicking on Two. This will bring up an interface where you can customize what kind of audience you are trying to target. There are a number of different target mappings you can choose from, but we will stick with the individual recipients for this one. Click on Add to open another window to add users to our target population. Select the type of target you want to send an email to. There is a variety of ways to filter out your target depending on how your recipients are organized in Campaign. In this case, we will select a recipient since I will be sending it to myself. I will select my own email and click Finish to confirm. Adding attachments is just as easy. Click on Attachments and a window will open allowing you to add any attachments that might be necessary for your campaign. The subject of the email can be typed into the bar directly. You can also open the interface for more options including personalization. The content of the email can be crafted by clicking on the link in the description. You can also create a new email that is crafted using the rich text editor below. Whatever you craft here, Campaign will generate the HTML source for you to view under the Source tab. To personalize content, in the subject and body of the email, you can click on this icon. This icon will add different custom personalized information to the email. Let’s add our first name and last name to the message to give it a personal feel. Finally, to preview our email for a specific recipient, we can use the Preview tab. From here, you can test personalization for different individuals. Let’s try using it with myself. And that’s it! You can see that the personalization is inserted right into the email. So my name appears right here in the email. After crafting your content, you can save to complete creating your email delivery. You will see your email delivery appear on the list of deliveries. This will tell you that you have successfully created your first email delivery. So now you should be able to describe the process for creating email delivery, design the email content, and also use all those personalized fields in your email.
