This page provides information about the latest additions to this guide. Minor updates not included.
August 2026
August 18, 2026
- Authoring extensions: New article consolidating the extensions: What each one does, whee to find it, and how to install it.
- Adobe ExL Authors extension updated to v1.0.6.
August 12, 2026
- Events: Metadata table revised—last-substantial-update and doc-type are now required (validation coming soon); product downgraded from required to strongly recommended; speaker upgraded to recommended. Removed the note that images don’t render in event bodies.
August 10, 2026
-
Events: Metadata table expanded with a Required? column, plus new rows for
duration, jira, speaker, index, and a Legacy tags group (mostly unused holdovers). New YAML format section showing structured YAML (lists) instead of comma-delimited values for multi-value fields likerole, product, andspeakers. -
GHEC Migration: Migration is now complete for all repos (events.en, the last holdout, has migrated). Simplified the incomplete-features list and noted that most intermittent publishing issues are resolved, with only edge cases remaining.
-
Editorial guidance and Screenshots: New Third-party interfaces cross-reference guidance—when steps involve a third-party UI, link to the third party’s own documentation instead of describing their interface; still add
DNLto third-party names. -
Editorial guidance: New Authoring extensions section (near the top of the page) consolidating the AdobeDocs Chrome extension, Adobe Markdown Authoring, and Adobe ExL Authors VS Code extensions—what each one is for and when to use it. Refined step-writing guidance to call for brief, complete sentences.
-
Editorial guidance: Rewrote First paragraphs guidance—the opening must answer “Why am I here?” New Structure: concepts and tasks ordering: H1, introduction, prerequisites, important limitations, procedure, examples, reference.
July 2026
July 30, 2026
- Events: Clarified the process for creating past-event articles—confirm the video is uploaded to MPC, then create the article in the on-demand-events.en repo (often by copying a similar event). Metadata field renamed from series to series/event-series.
July 29, 2026
- Adobe CX Enterprise application names: Added Adobe Real-Time CDP B2B Edition (second mention: Real-Time CDP B2B Edition).
July 28, 2026
- Events: New article covering the Events page, cloning the on-demand-events.en repo, folder/filename rules, frontmatter fields, and body syntax. Added to the TOC.
- RedPen Scoring and Add and review Experience League tags: Removed Cursor-specific instructions; RedPen guidance now also calls out Claude as a supported VS Code-based editor. Noted that a RedPen action now runs automatically on new/updated files in PRs for repos that publish to production, and scores feed into CQI.
- Configuring new repos: Added admin steps for Configure for Red Pen (installing the RedPen Reviewer GitHub app per repo) and for Create and configure public mirror.
July 27, 2026
- Editorial guidance: Clarified the Experience Cloud → CX Enterprise rebrand—change the term in text only; do not change it in programmatic elements or metadata (except title and description metadata).
July 24, 2026
- Editorial guidance: New Use a user-centered voice section—write from the reader’s perspective (Use X to do Y) instead of product-centered phrasing (X does Y), except in concept definitions. Quick-reference table rows now link to their sections.
July 23, 2026
- Configuring new repos and Work with GitHub pull requests and issues: Documented admin steps to create and configure a public mirror—add
git-repoto metadata.md, run the mirror-creation workflow, and add themirror.ymlworkflow file.
July 22, 2026
- Editorial guidance: Removed the personal contact reference for product name updates.
July 17, 2026
- Home: Expanded the searchable list of articles—added rows for every article in the main guide TOC that was previously missing from the table, plus direct anchor links into reference-heavy pages (the full metadata tag reference, Markdown syntax elements, validation error types, and more) so
Ctrl+F/Cmd+Fon this page finds more of the guide.
July 14, 2026
- GHEC Migration: Migration status updated—only events.en remains unmigrated to GHEC (previously three repos, including the KCS repos and landing-pages.en). Removed resolved in-progress items (review environment, GitHub public mirror, VSC plugin validation caveat).
- Microsites: Fixed broken example links. New Microsite migration section documenting V1 (git.corp, custom HTML renderer) versus V2 (GitHub, AEM-rendered) microsite sourcing while migration is in progress.
July 13, 2026
- Hide a file: Renamed from Hiding files. Merged the two “Hide from TOC” sections into one, clarified that
{hide-from-toc}goes on the article link or section inTOC.md(not in the article itself), and noted that the old V1hidefromtoc: truearticle metadata no longer works.
July 9, 2026
- RedPen Scoring: Extension updated to v1.2.1 (
redpen-extension-1.2.1.vsix). Download link now points to the RedPen Home wiki. If upgrading from an earlier version, uninstall the previous extension before installing from VSIX. - Editorial guidance: New Use clear references section—pronouns and demonstratives (it, this, that, etc.) should have a single obvious antecedent; repeat the noun when ambiguity could confuse readers or AI systems.
- Stage review content: Clarified that the
reviewbranch does not validate content. To validate, open a PR fromreviewtomain, fix any errors, then close without merging. Addedcolor: redas an alternative dummy metadata trigger for the first commit. Slack notifications list updated files when content publishes toexperienceleague-review.adobe.com.
July 8, 2026
- Create and edit course files: Added Update (add a step)—copy and paste an existing step, then edit. Includes a how-to video.
July 6, 2026
- Editorial guidance: Avoid apostrophes, especially in headings—they can make instructions less clear and harder to translate.
- Create and edit course files: Major rewrite of course authoring guidance—modules, steps, comprehension quizzes, interactive components, and when to use courses versus other content types.
- V2 cleanup across the guide: Removed Jenkins-focused content from Authoring best practices, Home, Validation, Troubleshooting, and related pages. Legacy content removed from Enhancement requests and Configuration and administration.
- Authoring best practices: At least one article in the TOC must not use
{hide-from-toc}. VSC extension validation rules are not yet fully updated for V2. Added VSCode Tagging Plugin and RedPen extension download links to recommended extensions.
June 2026
June 24, 2026
- The landing pages repo has been migrated to GHEC. It takes only a couple minutes to update pages. It’s much easier and faster in V2, but the same template constraints are in place.
- The Adobe Markdown Authoring plugin has been updated. It works now with the newest versions of Visual Studio Code.
- Landing pages and breadcrumbs: Rewritten for the V2 GHEC repo—
:::guides-listand:::tutorial-listsection syntax, new link format, and manual descriptions (descriptions are no longer extracted from repos). - Hiding files: At least one article in the TOC must remain visible. If all articles are hidden, the TOC job fails.
- Authoring best practices: Added VSCode Tagging Plugin to recommended VSC extensions. Admin steps for updating the Adobe Markdown Authoring extension in the VSC marketplace.
June 12, 2026
- Adobe CX Enterprise application names: Expanded and updated the product table to align with Adobe Business products. Added products such as CX Enterprise Coworker, Acrobat Studio, Brand Intelligence, Content Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics B2B Edition, Engagement Intelligence, Express, Firefly Creative Production, Frame.io, GenStudio for Content Marketing, Product Analytics, and Semrush. Filled in approved second mentions for entries that were blank. Sorted the table alphabetically. Note: Adobe Express keeps Adobe in the approved second mention.

- Coworker is an approved second mention
- Use DNL on Coworker to preserve English and clarity

June 4, 2026
- RedPen Scoring: Extension updated to v1.2.0 (
redpen-extension-1.2.0.vsix). If upgrading from an earlier version, uninstall the previous extension before installing from VSIX. (See the release notes wiki for features and fixes.) - Review is ready for testing: You can now create a review branch to publish content to
experienceleague-review.adobe.com. This feature is still being tested.
June 3, 2026
- Publish content and GHEC Migration: Clarified that when
hold: trueis set, article updates appear only in preview, not in production.
June 1, 2026
Experience Cloud to CX Enterprise rebrand:
- Editorial guidance: Use Adobe CX Enterprise on first mention, then CX Enterprise thereafter. Do not translate CX Enterprise.
- GHEC Migration: Restructured for post-migration status—Major changes all writers should know (intermittent publishing issues, especially after
metadata.mdorTOC.mdedits; nudge edits as a workaround), Minor issues (imagealign="left"rendering, Kodiak re-trigger, downloadable file allowlist, Last update accuracy), and new validation rules AM062 (SVG size limit) and AM063 (inline triple backticks).
May 2026
May 29, 2026
- Publish content: Rewritten for the V2 pipeline. Merging to
mainpublishes to production, stage, and dev by default. Usehold: trueto preview without publishing to production (remove it when ready; do not usehold: false). Removed Jenkins Publish Now, activate-new, auto-activate schedule, and Edge troubleshooting sections. For draft articles, pairhold: truewith{hide-from-toc}inTOC.md. - Work with GitHub pull requests and issues: Updated for GHEC - Make changes on
github.com/Adobe-Enterprise-Docs, not the publicgithub.com/AdobeDocsmirror. Do not merge public mirror PRs. - Hiding files: Documents V2 syntax only -
hide: trueorindex: falsefor search;{hide-from-toc}inTOC.mdfor the left nav. Deprecated V1hidefromtocguidance is commented out. - GHEC Migration: Preview before publish with
hold: trueis now documented as available (no longer “nearly complete”). - Landing pages: Notes that the V1
landing-pages.enrepo on git.corp is still in use until the V2 landing pages repo is ready. - Resolve validation errors: Notes that Kodiak security checks are required and controlled by Adobe IT; legacy Jenkins-specific validation details commented out.
- Stage review content: Review-branch workflow updated; admin configuration link added.
May 27, 2026

- Read about what’s new in tagging.
- Watch the v1.0.4 how-to video
-
GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) Migration: Migration is complete for nearly all repos (three exceptions listed in the article). Removed preliminary, evaluation, and final phase instructions, dual git.corp/GHEC authoring notes, and the migration schedule callout. Open pipeline limitations and gotchas remain.
-
Auto-tagging page updates:
- Let writers know to not manually edit metadata or remove V1 values;
- Added section: Add metadata to a single file section for product, role, and feature tags on
metadata.md,TOC.md, or individual articles; * Updated extension number to V1.0.3

GHEC and metadata
-

hide: trueandindex: true/index: false(notyes/no). - Hide articles from the left nav with
{hide-from-toc}inTOC.md, nothidefromtocin article metadata. - Optional
