Add supporting content to product pages

Add a campaign banner, carousel, headings, or other supporting content above or below the shopping controls on your product pages.

Before you begin

Open /products/default in Document Authoring and choose a content block supported by your storefront. Use Preview a product to select a real product for the inline preview.

Caution

This document is shared by product pages. Content you add here appears on all pages that use this template. To show content only for selected products or categories, use Show enrichment content for selected products or categories instead.

Add the supporting content

1. Find the product-details table in /products/default.

2. Place your content above or below that table, in the order shoppers should see it. You can insert ordinary text or images, or add a supported block table.

   For example, insert a carousel table above the product details:

   carousel
   Your first campaign image	First slide caption
   Your second campaign image	Second slide caption

   Merge the first-row cells in the document. Replace the image labels with actual images, and replace the captions with your text. Each row below the header is one slide.

3. Open the inline live-preview pane and confirm that the content appears in the intended position relative to the product details.

4. Preview another product to check that the content is appropriate for the shared template.

5. Publish the updated document when the layout looks right.

Check the result

Open a real product URL on the published storefront. Confirm that the supporting content appears in the expected order and that the product’s shopping controls remain available.
