Move to Workfront on Adobe cloud storage
Workfront on Adobe cloud storage provides the full unified review and approval experience: reviews in the Frame.io viewer, powerful approval workflows, cross-product visibility of assets, and more.
This article is the starting point for Workfront administrators moving to Adobe cloud storage. It explains what happens when you enable Adobe cloud storage, points you to the details of what’s different, and links to the articles that help you plan and roll out the change.
You decide when Adobe cloud storage turns on
Nothing about your Workfront environment changes until a Workfront administrator enables Adobe cloud storage as the default storage option in Setup > System > Preferences. Until then, your existing projects and any new projects you create stay on legacy Workfront storage and keep the approval service you use today.
When an administrator enables Adobe cloud storage as the default storage option:
- New projects use Adobe cloud storage
- Frame.io is the default viewer
- Unified approvals is the default approval service
Existing projects don’t change.
Because you control the timing, you can test the experience, update your Workfront Fusion scenarios, and plan for reporting changes before anyone works in it. For step-by-step instructions, see Enable Adobe cloud storage for your organization.
How approvals work on Adobe cloud storage
Adobe cloud storage projects use Unified Approvals by default, with review and approval in the Frame.io viewer. Objects that stay on legacy Workfront storage keep whatever approval service they already use: legacy document approvals or Unified Approvals.
Before you roll out Adobe cloud storage, make sure the people who manage approvals know what to expect. For more information, see Move from legacy document approvals to Unified Approvals.
