You can receive email notifications about comments and decisions made on proofs you work on in one of the following ways:

  • Receive an email when someone adds a comment, replies to a comment you have added, or makes a decision.
  • Receive an email when someone replies to a comment you have added.
  • Receive an email when someone makes a decision.
  • Receive an email when someone makes the final decision.
  • Receive an hourly summary email when someone replies to a comment you have added or makes a decision during the previous hour.
  • Receive a daily summary email when someone replies to a comment you have added or makes a decision during the day.
  • Receive no emails about comments or decisions.

The settings that determine how you receive email alerts about proof comments and decisions are available in the following places in Workfront:

System settings

Your Adobe Workfront administrator can determine how you receive email alerts about comments and decisions on proofs you work on, as explained in Configure User Information using Workfront Proof

New proof window, Proof details window

When someone adds you to a proof in the New proof window or in the Proof details window, they can determine how you receive email alerts about comments and decisions about the proof. This overrides the option your Workfront administrator has selected, but only for that particular proof. For more information, see

The Proofing Viewer

When you open a proof to which you have been added, you can determine how you receive email alerts about comments on the proof. This overrides the option your Workfront administrator has selected and the option selected by the person who added you to the proof. For more information, see Manage notifications for proof comments and decisions

NOTE In the Proofing Viewer, the last option is labeled differently ("No emails" instead of "Disabled"), but it works the same way.

NOTE

These options affect only email alerts you can receive about proof comments and decisions. They do not affect the email alerts you can receive about the flow of a proof, such as the New Proof or Late Proof email. For more information about email alerts concerning the flow of a proof, see the following articles:
