Late proof email

This article refers to functionality in the standalone product Workfront Proof. For information on proofing inside Adobe Workfront, see Proofing.

The Late Proof email is sent to recipients when a proof is close to deadline or reaching deadline. These types of emails are not possible to disable on a proof level, but are configurable on account and user personal settings level.

  • Late proof emails are automatically sent to reviewers when a proof reaches its deadline and not all reviews or decisions have been made.

These emails are enabled by default and cannot be adjusted for the whole accounts, but users can disable them in their Proofing defaults.

  • At risk emails are sent to reviewers when a proof is close to deadline. They are disabled by default and can be enabled in the Account Settings. Once enabled they can also be adjusted in the Proofing defaults.

These notifications cannot be customized.

The people who will be notified are:

  • The Owner, only when Email alert when proofs are late is enabled checked in the Owner’s Proofing defaults.
  • Any approvers who have not yet made their decision on the proof. For information about decisions, see Make a decision on a proof in the proofing viewer
If the email notifications are disabled as a default in the Account settings, no Late proof emails will be sent even if the reviewers and approvers have not yet submitted their comments and decisions. You can also disable Late proof emails in the Proofing defaults.

Consider the following about proof notifications:

  • Your Workfront administrator or Workfront Proof administrator can include your organization’s logo in your email notifications, as explained in Brand the Workfront Proof site.

  • If you need to share multiple proofs with the same reviewers and you don’t want them to get multiple emails, you can upload them at the same time. All of the reviewers receive one email detailing all the proofs and including a personal URL for each proof.

    note note
The Creator of the proofs receives a separate Proof made email for each of the proofs created. For more information, see The Proof Made email.
  • If you or your reviewers don’t receive an expected email notification, see Configure Workfront Proof emails to avoid spam filters.
