Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source support a wide variety of payment methods and services. This includes several offline payment methods, including payment by check or money order and cash on delivery (COD). There are also native integrations for numerous online payment solutions and gateways, including Braintree as a bundled vendor-developed extension.

Payment Services for Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source provides a turnkey self-service solution, including sandbox testing and a simple setup, for providing robust and secure payment processing. Changes in 2.4

Some payment integrations and bundled extensions have been removed in 2.4.x releases and moved to the Commerce Marketplace. You can find the latest official payment integration extensions in the Commerce Marketplace.

  • Amazon Pay and Klarna: Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source releases 2.4.0 through 2.4.3 included these vendor-developed extensions. Starting with the 2.4.4 release, these extensions are no longer bundled with the core release and must be installed and updated from the Commerce Marketplace. The Marketplace also provides access to current documentation provided by the extension developer.

    If you have either of these bundled extension enabled and configured, you must update your composer.json file as part of the 2.4.4 upgrade process and to manage extension updates going forward. See Upgrade modules in the Upgrade Guide for more information.

Offline payment methods

Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source include several built-in offline payment methods, which do not require the services of a third-party payment processing company:

Online payment methods

Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source support numerous payment solutions that offer merchant services in all parts of the world. Unlike payment solutions that transfer control to another site to complete the transaction, a payment gateway makes it possible for you to accept credit card payments directly from your store without the customer leaving your site.

Fraud protection

Fraud protection services and filters examine submitted orders before the transaction is processed to detect fraudulent orders and protect you from the expense of charge backs. Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source support the following fraud protection solutions:

NOTE
To support updates for security compliance, Signifyd fraud protection is removed from Commerce starting with the 2.4.0 release. If you have been using the Signifyd integration in a 2.3.x or previous release, it is recommended that you transition to the Signifyd Fraud & Chargeback Protection extension. Make sure that you maintain updates for the extension according to the vendor guidelines.
