Look-and-feel updates for reports
We have updated the report interface to match the design of other areas of Workfront. These updates include additional changes to reporting features:
- We have added an expanded color palette for conditional formatting rules in reports. For more information about conditional formatting, see Use conditional formatting in views.
- We have added a new “Edit Text Mode” button to enter text mode when editing a column in the report builder. For more information about editing report views in text mode, see Edit a view using text mode
- You can no longer edit the title of a report by clicking on its title. You can still edit a report title by clicking Report Actions > Edit, then changing the title. For more information about editing reports, see Edit report settings.
- You can no longer create a grouping by clicking on a column name in the grouping builder. You can still create a grouping based on an existing column in a report by selecting the corresponding field in the Group by: field list. For more information about creating groupings, see Create groupings in Adobe Workfront
- We have added a new toggle to the report filter interface to switch between a calendar date selector and a relative date wildcard text field when filtering by a date field. Additionally, selecting a relative date wildcard shortcut in the report filter interface now automatically populates the associated wildcard fields based on your selection. For more information about using relative date wildcards in report filters, see Use date-based wildcards to generalize reports.
- User-based wildcards in report filters now suggest relevant wildcards for auto-complete based on your selected field type. For more information on user-based wildcards in report filters, see Use user-based wildcards to generalize reports.
- Reports with prompts that are shared publicly will now be displayed without prompts applied for all users accessing it through the public share link. Logged in users that access the report directly will still be able to apply prompts. For information about report prompts, see Add a prompt to a report.
- We have made changes to existing reports that improve their compatibility with Canvas Dashboards.
These updates are being implemented incrementally in production starting with the 24.10 release on October 17, 2024. Changes will be available to only a small number of customers at first, becoming increasingly available over time until fully available for all customers by November 8, 2024.
Look-and-feel updates for dashboards

- We have improved the print preview screen when printing a dashboard. For information about printing a dashboard, see Print a dashboard.
- We have removed the All, Reports, and Calendars tabs under Available Reports & Calendars from the Dashboard editor. For more information about adding reports and calendars to a dashboard, see Edit a dashboard.
