Authors can create reusable document designs, add digital signature fields, and configure accessibility properties in the Interactive Communication (IC) Editor:
- Add a Sign component: Place a digital signature field in a document and configure which fields are locked after signing, including fields in a named collection. Recipients can sign the generated Portable Document Format (PDF) document in Adobe Acrobat, helping teams protect completed document content.
- Configure accessibility while authoring: Set accessibility roles, screen reader text and precedence, and navigation order, then generate tagged PDF output. These controls help authors prepare communications for readers who use assistive technologies.
- Create XDP templates: Create and update existing XML Data Package (XDP) templates directly in the Interactive Communication editor, configure data bindings, and reuse fragments across document designs. Preview generated PDF output while refining the design.
Theme Editor for Core Components based Adaptive Forms theme-editor-core-components
Style Core Components based Adaptive Forms visually in the Theme Editor and preview changes as you work. Customize colors, typography, borders, and spacing, then reuse themes across forms to maintain a consistent appearance.

Authors can select Dynamic Media assets for the Image component in an Adaptive Form. The component resolves the selected asset reference to its Dynamic Media delivery URL, enabling teams to reuse centrally managed images in forms rather than uploading separate copies.

Authors can select and configure custom submit actions for Edge Delivery Services Adaptive Forms in the Universal Editor’s Form Properties interface. File Attachment Virus Scanner / Validator
Adaptive Forms can now pass every uploaded file attachment to a virus scanner or validator of your choice before it’s persisted, giving you a server-side check that blocks malicious or non-compliant files at submission time, before they ever reach the repository.
Key capabilities:
- Bring your own scanning engine: Implement a
FileAttachmentValidatorservice and connect any antivirus engine, malware scanner, or custom validation logic you already use — the interface is engine-agnostic. - Scan before persist: Files are evaluated from memory before they’re written to the repository, so a rejected file is never stored.
- Multiple configurations: Register more than one validator — one per antivirus engine, or several differently configured instances of the same engine — and choose which one (or none) applies per form.

Agentic Form Filling
Agentic Form Filling lets customers complete published Adaptive Forms through AI assistants, website chatbots, or WhatsApp. Unlike the Conversational Forms component embedded in an AEM Sites page, this service supports form filling across these channels.
Key capabilities:
- Use the forms you already have: Reuse published Adaptive Forms with supported rules and validations and their configured submit action.
- Guided or natural-language answers: Collect structured answers one group of fields at a time, or let customers answer in their own words and have AI extract the values.
- Personal data protection: Personal details in form answers are masked before the service sends those answers to its AI model for field extraction.

Additional Early Access Innovations
Forms Service APIs
Forms service generates interactive PDF forms for data capture. It can also be used to import/export data to/from an existing interactive PDF form and validate submitted data. Here’s a breakdown of its functionalities:

Rendering Forms: Generate an interactive PDF form from a template created using AEM Forms Designer and, optionally, XML data. This essentially produces a fillable PDF form optionally pre-filled with data.

Data Extraction and Import: Import data into an existing PDF form as well as extract data from a filled PDF form. Both XDP and XML data formats are supported, and importing to non-XFA PDF forms (also known as AcroForms) additionally supports FDF and XFDF data.

Data Validation: : Validate submitted data, in XDP or XML format, against a template created using AEM Forms Designer.
Doc Generation API
