In this video, we will be showing existing validations for quote creation in Adobe Commerce admin panel. We will try to create a quote with existing misconfiguration and see that seller is notified about that. There is set of validations in quote creation process to ensure that system is properly configured. Those validations check that B2B quote is enabled in configuration. Company is in approved status. Quoting is enabled in company profile. Company customer account is active and selected store is active. As a prerequisites, your Adobe Commerce instance should have B2B with enabled company and quote features. Adobe Commerce instance in this demo is pre-populated with test data such as stores, products and categories, companies and customers. Let’s disable quote feature in the configuration for one of the websites.

Then try to create a quote for a customer associated with that website.

You will see an error message which indicates that there is no website with enabled quoting which customer associated with. From here, seller can go back and choose different customer.

Now I am going to show a case when company is not approved yet. Let’s go to the company profile and change the status to pending approval. Let’s go to the company profile and change the status to pending approval.

Go back to the quotes page. Click create new quote button. Select user and store. Error message states that company must be approved. From here, seller may go to the company settings. Let’s roll back our demo company to the active status. Let’s roll back our demo company to the active status. From here, seller may go to the company settings. Let’s roll back our demo company to the active status. Now we will disable quoting for the company.

Go back to the quotes page.

Click create new quote button. Select user and store. Click create new quote button. Select user and store. Error message indicates that quoting for the company might not be active. Let’s roll back settings for the company.

Now we will go and deactivate company customer.

Let’s roll back our demo company to the active status. From here, seller may go to the company settings. Let’s roll back our demo company to the active status. Go back to the quotes page.

Click create new quote button. Select user and store. Error message indicates that customer’s account is not active. Seller may go to the customer profile to make changes.

For the next case, we will go and change status for the store to disabled.

Go back to the quotes page. Click create new quote button. Select user. Select disabled store. Error message indicates that selected store is disabled. Seller may create quote for the same user using active store. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video.
