Convert a legacy storage task to an Adobe cloud storage project
Production for everyone: June 12, 2026
If your organization uses both legacy Workfront storage and Adobe cloud storage, you can now convert a legacy storage task to an Adobe cloud storage project.
When you do this, documents and document approvals remain on the parent object rather than transferring to the newly created project.
Previously, tasks could only be converted to projects using the same storage type.

Use a legacy storage template to create an Adobe cloud storage project
Production for everyone: June 11, 2026
If your organization uses both legacy Workfront storage and Adobe cloud storage, you can now use a legacy storage template to create an Adobe cloud storage project in the following scenarios:
- Creating a project outside of a portfolio with a legacy template: You can choose to create the project on Adobe cloud storage instead. Legacy storage documents and folders from the template are not carried over to the new project.
- Creating a project inside an Adobe cloud storage portfolio: The project is automatically created on Adobe cloud storage, regardless of the template’s storage type. Projects must use the same storage as their parent portfolio.
Previously, Legacy storage templates could only be used to create Legacy storage projects.
