The highlighted information on this page refers to functionality not yet generally available. It is available only in the Preview Sandbox environment.

NOTE
The information in this article refers to the current access levels. For information about the legacy access levels, see Access levels overview.

The table below tells you the highest level of access (Edit or View) that each of the Adobe Workfront licenses allow for the objects and areas in Workfront.

  • View: The user can review and share items.

  • Edit: The user can create, edit, delete, and share items.

    note note
    NOTE
When another user shares an object, the sharer can specify permissions that limit their ability to edit it. For more information, see Overview of sharing permissions on objects.

* Users with a Contributor license can view only reports, dashboards, and calendars that are shared with them.

** Users with a Light license can only log time at the project level when Edit access is enabled. They cannot create, edit, delete, or share projects. The default access level on Projects for Light users is View.

NOTE
  • Users with a Light license or a Contributor license have limited sharing capabilities. For more information, see Licenses overview.

  • External users cannot search for items in Workfront. They can view documents and calendars that are specifically shared with them. They can also see the users that share items with them.

  • Contributor users and external users can’t see content that is shared system-wide. It must be shared with them explicitly.

You can find detailed information about what the access levels allow for each object and area in the following articles:
