These are the release notes for the 4 December 2025 release of the Universal Editor.

What’s New what-is-new

  • Authorization headers have been disabled in favor of the local developer login.

  • A contextual menu is now available on the structured tree on right-click.

  • A hotkey was added to duplicate components.

  • The Universal Editor now uses a new configuration endpoint to automatically enable only those features of the editor, which can be used with your combination of authoring model and content persistence.

    • Filters are no longer required to hide options that are not usable in your use case.
    • Filters can still be used to limit options that are available in your use case, but which you do not wish to expose to your users.
    • Filters can only be used to disable features which are available, not show features that are not available.

New RTE new-rte

The new ProseMirror RTE, featuring a page picker in the link dialog, is now available in the right panel. This RTE features flexible configuration options.

Other Improvements other-improvements

  • An issue with the RTE not saving properly on canvas was resolved.
  • Content picker folder tree clipping was fixed.
  • componentId is now provided during add action.
