Issue/Symptoms
When you configure DNS for a custom apex domain in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service, the supported configuration provides IPv4 A records for the Adobe-managed CDN endpoint. IPv6 AAAA records aren’t supported for this configuration.
- The domain is a custom apex domain without a subdomain.
- The official DNS configuration provides IPv4
Arecord values. - IPv6
AAAArecords aren’t available for the Adobe-managed CDN endpoint. - Organizations that require IPv6 connectivity must ensure that clients can connect to the domain over IPv4.
Cause
Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service supports IPv4 A record DNS entries for custom apex domains through the Adobe-managed CDN. IPv6 AAAA records aren’t supported for this CDN endpoint.
Resolution resolution
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
- Review the Adobe documentation for custom apex-domain DNS configuration and identify the IPv4
Arecords provided for the domain. - Configure your DNS provider to use only the Adobe-provided IPv4
Arecords for the custom apex domain. - Don’t configure IPv6
AAAArecords for the Adobe-managed CDN endpoint because Adobe doesn’t provide or support IPv6 addresses for this configuration. - If your organization previously used IPv6 records for the domain, confirm that clients can connect over IPv4 because IPv4 is the only supported configuration.
