AEM collections do not sync to Content Hub
AEM Assets collections, including static and smart collections, don’t synchronize with Content Hub. Content Hub maintains its own independent collection model and doesn’t provide APIs to create, manage, update, or synchronize AEM collections. Verify the expected product behavior, confirm there isn’t a configuration issue, and guide customers to supported Content Hub collection workflows or feature requests when appropriate.

Issue/Symptoms
- AEM collections don’t appear in Content Hub.
- Static and smart collections remain visible only in AEM Author.
- Content Hub doesn’t provide APIs to create, manage, or synchronize AEM collections.
- Attempts to synchronize AEM collections with Content Hub don’t succeed.
Cause
Content Hub operates independently from the AEM Author collections framework. The two platforms use separate collection models and don’t share a synchronization mechanism. Content Hub also doesn’t expose APIs to create, update, manage, or synchronize AEM collections programmatically.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Verify that the required collections exist in AEM Author
>Assets>Collections. - Verify that Content Hub displays only Content Hub-native collections.
- Explain that synchronization between AEM Collections and Content Hub isn’t a supported product capability.
- Create and manage curated collections directly in Content Hub when Content Hub collections are required.
- Use tagging, metadata, or folder-based organization in AEM instead of relying on collection synchronization.
- If automation is required, evaluate supported Content Hub workflows instead of AEM Collections synchronization.
