Hello, my name is Diana Irvenlid and I’m an Account Manager here at Adobe and in this session I will show you how to create an Advertising Cloud Display placement.
The agenda for today is, “How to create an Advertising Cloud Display placement” followed by “Show Me!” section, where we do a live demo in the UI.
After completing this module you should be able to describe how to create the display placement in Adobe Advertising Cloud and explain how to use display placements in Adobe Advertising Cloud.
How to build display placements.
Once you have logged into the platform, navigate to the campaign where you’d like to build your display placement.
Within your campaign, click on the upper right hand Create button and choose your placement type. For this demo, we will be building a standard display placement.
Show Me! Now, let’s see how to build the display placement in Adobe Advertising Cloud.
In the main menu, click on Campaigns and select the name of the campaign you wish to create your placement in.
Once in the campaign, navigate to the Create button and on the Placement Type, select Standard display.
This will prompt Placement Edit It to open and you can start, specify the basic settings of your placement.
Start by adding your placement name and scroll down to goal section.
Under the goal section, you have the option to specify placement budget and include additional placement goals.
For this demo, we are linking our placement to a package that has the package level pacing.
This means that my placement goal and pacing settings will reflect the package setting.
Under Placement funding, you can choose to set a fixed budget cap of All time or Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or you can choose to Optimize based on performance, which is what I select for the purpose of this demo. Choose the Max Bid and scroll down to Geo-Targeting section.
Under Audience location, you can select to include or exclude any locations you wish to target or not target in the placement.
You have the option to select country, state, city or postcode targeting, and if you’re in the US, you also have additional options.
Please note, that if you don’t identify specific location, all locations will be targeted in your placement. So, for the purpose of this demo, we will include the United States.
In the Inventory Targeting section, you have the option to narrow down the inventory sources to include or exclude. For most placement types, all inventory types, and all sources for each type are included by default. However, you have the options to target only on open exchange, only On Demand, or a PMP if you wish to. Alternatively, you can select two, target any combo of the three.
Under links site targeting, you can choose to select what tier you’d like to target in your placement or if you just want to target all sites.
Please note, you also have the option to include or exclude sites you wish to target or paste preferred site list, if needed Under the Audience Targeting location, under the Audience Targeting sections, you have the options to include any relevant audience to target within the placement. For this purposes, I am targeting the Audience Manager, lookalike test segment.
If you want to, you also have the option to exclude audiences.
Under Frequency Capping, select desired cap by day, week or month.
You also have the opportunity to select Dayparting, pace Topic targeting, advise on device targeting, ISP targeting and so forth.
Under Brand Safety and Media Quality, apply brand safety restriction for your placement, if necessary.
In the Brand Safety and Media Targeting section, apply brand safety restrictions for your placement.
Underneath the Tracking section, you have the opportunity and option to enter third party event pixels or conversion pixels for ad within the placement.
Once completed, click Create placement.
Select, Attach an ad, or scroll down the other option menu to select appropriate action.
You should now be able to create a display placement in Adobe Advertising Cloud and use the display placement in Adobe Advertising Cloud.
Thank you for listening. -
