Adobe Workfront captures the activity taking place on certain objects by logging status information in the object’s Updates area.
The Updates area includes the following types of updates:
User updates: Manually entered by users. Also referred to as comments, replies, and notes.

System updates: Automatically made by the system. A system update includes a brief note describing what kind of change happened to the item.

System-tracked updates are not available for all the objects that have the Updates area. The Updates area is available for the following objects:
Project
Task
Issue
Portfolio
Program
User
Template
Template Task
Team
Document
Timesheet
Story
In Workfront, a story is a task.
Iteration
Goal

Workfront does not track any system updates for the following objects:
Users can view system updates by default or they can choose to not display them.

We are currently redesigning the commenting experience and the Updates area in Workfront.
You cannot hide system updates when using the new commenting experience.

Workfront records system-tracked updates for the following objects but there is no option to disable displaying them:
Workfront administrators can define what type of changes the system should track in the Updates area. Not all objects that have an Updates area also have configurable update feeds. The following objects have an Updates area that captures system-tracked update feeds, but do not have configurable update feeds:
