Learn how to enable permissions and use the Settings area to view connection details, define organizational rules, and set up integrations and notifications.

AVAILABILITY
This feature is currently in open beta. To request access, contact your account manager. You must also agree to the Core Gen-AI terms and the supplemental terms.

Permissions and roles permission-and-role

There is an Access Marketo AI permission and a Marketo AI User role, giving administrators greater control over which users can access the Marketo AI feature. The permission is assigned at the role level. The Marketo AI User role comes with the Access Marketo AI permission enabled by default.

IMPORTANT
The Access Marketo AI permission is not enabled by default for all roles. See the table below for details.

Access Marketo AI permission access-marketo-ai-permission

Follow the steps below to enable Access Marketo AI for qualifying roles that do not already have it enabled.

  1. In your My Marketo, click Admin, then Users & Roles.

  2. In the Roles tab, select the desired role and click Edit Role.

  3. Scroll down and check the Access Marketo AI checkbox and click Save.

    NOTE
    You can use these same steps to remove the permission by unchecking the Access Marketo AI checkbox.

Marketo AI User role marketo-ai-user-role

Follows these steps to assign a specific user to the Marketo AI User role.

NOTE
This role only contains the Access Marketo AI permission.

  1. In your My Marketo, click Admin, then Users & Roles.

  2. Select the desired user and click Edit User.

  3. In Roles and Workspaces, select the Marketo AI User checkbox. If you have more than one workspace, you can specify which ones get access in the + sign drop-down. Click Save when done.

You also have the option to create a new role and customize its permissions, adding Access Marketo AI, along with anything else you want, and assigning that role to specific users.

  1. In your My Marketo, click the Marketo AI tile.

  2. Click the gear icon.

Connection connection

This tab is does not contain editable fields. It shows you account information like your Munchkin ID and IMS Organization.

Define organizational guidelines and constraints that the Marketo AI follows when creating or modifying Marketo Engage assets.

NOTE
Rules use Markdown format with YAML frontmatter. Global rules apply to all workspaces. Workspace rules override global settings.
