Get started with canvas dashboards

Canvas Dashboards allow you to easily visualize your Adobe Workfront data by adding various report types onto a customizable canvas. This page provides basic instructions for using Canvas Dashboards, including how to navigate to your list of Canvas Dashboards as well as how to create and edit them.

Prerequisites

  • You must have a Plan license (current licenses) or Standard license (new licenses) to create a Canvas Dashboard.
    For information about Workfront license types, see Licenses overview for current licenses, and New licenses overview for new licenses.

  • Your Workfront administrator must give you access to Edit dashboards in your Access Level to create or edit a Canvas Dashboard.
    For information about granting Edit access for dashboards, see Grant access to reports, dashboards, and calendars.

  1. Click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-right corner of Adobe Workfront, or (if available), click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-left corner, then click Dashboards.

  2. In the left panel, click Canvas Dashboards.

  3. A list of your Canvas Dashboards will appear under the My Dashboards tab. Click on the name of a Canvas Dashboard to open it. You can also see Canvas Dashboards that have been shared with you in the Shared Dashboards tab, as well as all other dashboards on your Adobe Workfront instance in the All Dashboards tab.

  4. (Optional) To return to your list of Canvas Dashboards from an open Canvas Dashboard, click Dashboards in the top-left corner of the page.

Create a new Canvas Dashboard

  1. Click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-right corner of Adobe Workfront, or (if available), click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-left corner, then click Dashboards.

  2. In the left panel, click Canvas Dashboards.

  3. Click the + New Dashboard button in the top-right corner of the page.

  4. Enter a Name and Description for your new Canvas Dashboard, then click Create.

  5. In the Add report window that appears, you can add the first report to your new Canvas Dashboard by clicking on the Add button below the type of report you would like to add. You may also close the window by clicking the Cancel button in the top-right corner if you would like to wait to add a report. Edit the name or description of a Canvas Dashboard

  1. Open the Canvas Dashboard of which you would like to edit the name or description, as described in Navigate to a Canvas Dashboard above.

  2. Click the Dashboard properties icon next to the Canvas Dashboard’s name in the top-left corner of the page.

  3. In the window that appears, you can edit the Name and Description information for your Canvas Dashboard. When you are finished, click Save.

Delete a Canvas Dashboard

  1. Open the Canvas Dashboard that you would like to delete, as described in Navigate to a Canvas Dashboard above.

  2. Click the name of the Canvas Dashboard you would like to delete in the list of dashboards that appears.

  3. Click the More button in the top-right corner of the page, then click Delete dashboard.

  4. In the window that appears, check the box to confirm you would like to delete the Canvas Dashboard, then click Delete.
