Modify assignments for multiple issues
-
Go to the issue list that contains the issues whose assignments you want to modify.
-
(Optional) Create a filter to display only issues assigned to the assignee that you want to modify.
For example, you can create a filter to display only issues with a specific role as the assignee. Then, you can replace the role with a specific user. Do the following:
-
Click the Filters drop-down list, then click New filter.
-
In the first field, start typing Assignment Roles and choose Assignment Roles: Name from the list.
-
Select Is any of from the modifier drop-down menu, then start typing the name of a role and select it when it displays in the list. You can type multiple roles.
note tip TIP Do not use Assigned to because this field refers only to the Issue Owner and not to all assignees. The list of issues automatically filters for your filter criteria.
-
(Optional) Click Save as new, then Save.
-
-
Select the issues for which you want to modify assignments, then click the Edit icon
.
The Edit Issues displays. The number of items selected displays in the upper-left corner of the page.
-
Click Assignments in the left panel, then click the x icon next to the assignee you want to remove.
note tip TIP Only assignees that are assigned to all the selected issues display in the Assignments area.
-
Start typing the name of a user, role, or team to add assignees to all the selected issues.
note tip TIP You can assign multiple users, job roles, or teams. You can assign only active users, job roles, and teams. If a user, job role, or a team was assigned before they were deactivated, they remain assigned to the work item. In this case, we recommend the following: - Reassign the work item to active resources.
- Associate the users in a deactivated team with an active team and reassign the work item to the active team.
The added assignees are added to the existing ones. They do not replace the existing ones for each selected issue.
-
(Optional) Click Assign to me to assign all issues to yourself.
-
Click Save.
