Adobe Creative Cloud Projects overview

You can access your Workfront projects directly from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. In the Projects panel on the left side of the Creative Cloud app’s window, you can open, edit, and save documents in a Workfront project without leaving the app. You can also save new files directly to a Workfront project.

Only projects that use Adobe cloud storage appear in the Projects panel alongside your other Creative Cloud projects. The panel mirrors the folder structure of the documents in Workfront.

When you save a document that has an approval workflow, Workfront creates a new version and preserves the approval history. When you save a document that doesn’t have an approval workflow, Workfront updates the latest version.

Prerequisites

  • Your organization must be on a version of Workfront that supports Adobe cloud storage.
  • Workfront and Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign must be entitled in the same Adobe Identity Management System (IMS) organization.

What you can do from the Projects panel in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign

  • Open Workfront project folders and documents directly in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Any Workfront project you have access to appears in the Projects panel.
  • Edit a file and save your changes back to the Workfront project.

For more information, see Use Workfront documents in Creative Cloud apps.

NOTE
Legacy Workfront storage projects are not supported in the Projects panel.

You can also use the Adobe Cloud Drive to manage Workfront files and automatically save your changes to documents in Workfront. For more information, see Adobe Cloud Drive overview.
