Update goals in the Goal details section

You can access an individual goal from a list of goals.

  1. Click the name of a goal in the Goal List, then click the name of a goal.

    This opens the Goal details section on the left.

    Goal page

  2. Click the Edit icon Edit icon in the upper-right corner, then click Edit all or Overview

    Or

    Start typing information in one of the editable fields in the Goal details section. The section becomes editable.

    note important
    IMPORTANT
    Not all fields that display in the Goal details section can be edited. Workfront calculates some of the fields and they are read-only.
  3. Update or review the following fields:

    • Description: Add or update information about the goal.

    • Progress: Indicates what percentage of the goal is completed so far. You cannot manually update the progress of a goal. The goal progress is a calculation of all progress indicators.

    • Condition: Indicates whether the goal is new and it has not been updated yet, whether it’s on target to be completed on time, or lagging behind. You cannot update the condition of a goal. The goal’s condition is automatically calculated by Worfront.
      For more information about goal condition and progress, see
      Overview of goal progress and condition in Adobe Workfront Goals.

    • Status: You cannot manually update the status of a goal. For more information, see Goal status overview in Adobe Workfront Goals.

    • Goal owner: Click to update the name of the owner of the goal. Start typing the name of a user, team, group, or the name of your organization, then select it when it displays in the list. You can have only one owner for a goal.

    • Parent goal: Start typing the name of a goal that you would like to set as the parent of the goal you selected. The progress of the selected goal will automatically update the progress of the parent goal.

      note tip
      TIP
      You cannot update the following information about a parent goal:
      * Parent goal period
      * Parent goal progress
      * Parent goal owner.
      You must update this information on the parent goal itself.
    • Period: Click to update the time period for the goal
      Or
      Select Enable custom dates to specify dates for the goal’s Start and End dates.

    • Closing notes: This field is visible only for goals with a status of Closed. Closed goals cannot be edited. Reopening a closed goal permantently deletes the closing notes.
