Product knowledge product-knowledge
Product knowledge gives you on-demand access to Marketo expertise without leaving the platform. Ask a question in plain language and Marketo AI draws on official Adobe documentation to answer it.
How to use how-to-use
- In your My Marketo, click the Marketo AI tile.
- In the prompt window, type your question in natural language; no special syntax required.
- The answer is provided. If you need more detail or a different angle, ask a follow-up.
Use cases use-cases
Troubleshooting a smart campaign: A marketing ops specialist can’t figure out why people aren’t flowing through a smart campaign trigger. They ask: “Why would a trigger campaign not fire even when people meet the filter criteria?” Marketo AI walks through the most common causes: campaign isn’t activated, the trigger event isn’t occurring, the person already ran through the campaign and qualification rules are blocking re-entry.
Choosing between batch and trigger campaigns: A demand gen manager is unsure which type of smart campaign to use for a time-sensitive alert. They ask: “What’s the difference between a batch campaign and a trigger campaign, and when should I use each?” Marketo AI explains the distinction and recommends triggers for real-time, event-driven actions (like MQL alerts) and batch campaigns for scheduled sends to a defined list.
Understanding program member status: A campaign manager notices that program member statuses don’t match their expectations after a webinar. They ask: “What’s the difference between ‘Registered’ and ‘Attended’ status in a Marketo event program, and how do they get set?” Marketo AI explains how each status is set, the typical flow for webinar programs, and how to manually update statuses when the integration doesn’t set them automatically.
Things to note things-to-note
- Product Knowledge is best for general Marketo questions and best practices. It does not have access to your specific subscription data.
- Use specific agents when available. For questions about why a person/lead or campaign behaved a certain way, use Lead Investigation or Program QA instead.
- Marketo AI’s knowledge reflects Adobe’s documented guidance and best practices. For very recent feature releases, check the Adobe Marketo Engage release notes directly.
- The more specific your question, the more useful the answer. “How does person/lead scoring work?” will get a broader answer than “Should I score a pricing page visit at 10 or 15 points?”
