The Database section is where you’ll find the key attributes of the people in your instance. Learn more about the necessary steps to navigate through different lists and segmentations in your Database, as well as managing people records.

System Smart Lists

  • Determine implementing a 1:1 sync with your CRM or applying filters to limit who moves from system to system and when.

  • Review the total number of people and marketable people in your Marketo Engage database.

Blocklist
  • Define blocklist criteria. Consider adding competitor's domains to your blocklist to prevent them from receiving any of your emails.
Marketing Suspended
  • Define Marketing Suspended criteria.
Bounced Email Addresses
  • Define your criteria for bounced email addresses.

  • Review the people in the 'Email Invalid' category and determine if their emails need be manually reset.

Possible Duplicates
  • Review People in the Possible Duplicates list.

  • Define your duplicate management strategy to determine if you want to merge people manually.

  • If you have a CRM integration, define a process and account for the effect of merging leads in your CRM.

No Acquisition Program
  • Establish campaigns in your program templates that set an Acquisition Program, especially if using global forms.
Unsubscribed People
  • Review your criteria for Unsubscribed People.
