About the screen sharing
Screen sharing lets Instructors share content from their device with participants in real time. Use screen sharing to present applications, deliver presentations, demonstrate workflows, and guide learners through tasks. Learners can also share their screens when an Instructor enables screen sharing.
In addition to sharing a screen, you can display two contents side by side in Split View, use a whiteboard alongside shared content, and annotate directly on the screen to highlight key information without interrupting the presentation.
Key benefits
-
Present in real time: Share applications, presentations, and workflows directly from your device so learners follow along as it happens.
-
Show more at once: Display up to two contents side by side in Split View, such as a screen share and a whiteboard, without switching back and forth.
-
Explain visually: Annotate directly on shared content to highlight key points, clarify concepts, and guide learners’ attention.
-
Combine tools: Run a whiteboard alongside a shared screen to add explanations and notes as you present.
-
Encourage participation: Let learners share their own screens to present their work or support discussions, while Instructors maintain full control of the session.
Roles and permissions
Screen sharing is available to both Instructors and Learners. Available actions vary based on the user role.
