Collections collections
Collections allow you to categorize and group your decision items according to your preferences. These categories are created by crafting rules that leverage the attributes of decision items.
For instance, let’s say you have added a “Category” custom attribute to your decision items’ catalog schema. This allows you to create a collection that includes all decision items with the “Yoga” value in the “Category” attribute.
The list of collections is accessible from the Catalogs menu.
To create a collection, follow these steps:
-
Navigate to Catalogs > Collections and click Create collection.
-
Provide a name and a description for the collection.
-
Add one or multiple rules to determine the items to be included in the collection. To do this:
-
Choose an item attribute to use as criterion. The attributes list includes all standard and custom attributes defined in the catalog schema. Learn more about the items’ catalog
-
Select the desired operator and input the value to filter on.fy each offer name explicitly, or create and assign an “luma-summer” tag to each offer.
note note NOTE The CONTAINS operator does not support partial or wildcard matches. It works like an IN operator, meaning you must provide an array of exact values for the attribute. For example, let’s say you have multiple summer offers you want to include in a collection: “luma-summer-yoga”, “luma-summer-fitness”, and “luma-summer-running”. To include these items, you need to define a rule such as “Offer name” CONTAINS “luma-summer-yoga”, “luma-summer-fitness”, “luma-summer-running”. This rule returns only those offers that exactly match one of the names in the list. If you need partial matching (e.g., all offers containing “luma-summer”), this is currently not supported. You need to specify each offer name explicitly, or assign a “luma-summer” tag to each offer and use that tag in your rule. -
Repeat these steps to add as many rules as necessary. When multiple rules are added, you can choose between the And and Or operators to combine them. To do this, click the operator badge to switch between the two choices.
-
Click the Preview collection button to display the items that meet the rules that you have defined.
-
-
Once the collection rules have been defined, click Create. The collection now displays in the list.
