Hello, I’m going to demo expression fragments. Expression fragments are very similar to visual fragments, except for expression fragments are created from the expression editor.

When I create a fragment, I have the option to either select a visual or expression fragment. This case, I’ll select expression and then I can specify the subtype of code that I’m using. So for this one, I will say it’s HTML. I can go ahead and create it. And once I create it, I’m taken to this expression editor in line within the fragments inventory. So here, I’m going to create a first name attribute for my subject line that I want to reuse frequently.

Welcome, this person here. I’m going to save that.

And I’ve created a fragment called first name that I can use in my campaign. So now when I’m in a campaign and I want to utilize that fragment, I go to the personalization icon there, which will open up the expression editor. And once that expression editor opens, we’ll see that here we have a library called fragments. So I can see my fragment that I added in here. I will add it in and it will reference it by ID. But I can also open and view the fragment itself. This is what it contains. This is the fragment ID if I wanted to search for it. If I wanted to just edit the contents of the fragment straight from here without updating the original, I can paste the fragment and edit it that way.
