Hey there, I’m Aaron Forrest, a product manager on the Adobe Journey Optimizer team, here to show how to give priority to inbound actions so that the highest priority content is returned to a customer when they qualify for multiple inbound actions that use the same channel configuration. Let’s say we have a campaign to return content on a specific area of a webpage. We’ve created this sample website to show this. Now let me navigate back over to Adobe Journey Optimizer to create a campaign containing content I want returned. As you can see, I have drafted this low priority campaign with low priority content to be returned. I’ll go ahead and activate this campaign and then click the trigger to ensure that this content comes through in the response and onto the webpage. Sure enough, I now see the content I specified in the campaign. Now let’s say I have a higher priority campaign and I’d like to create this higher priority campaign and I want to return this content to that same area on the webpage. The channel configuration remains the same, but I need to make sure that only the content from the higher priority campaign is delivered to my customers. I’ve set up this new campaign, but I’ll need to make sure that I give it a higher priority score. So here in the properties, I’ll need to make sure I give a higher priority score here. I’ll insert a numeric value here between 0 and 100. The higher the number, the higher the priority. So let’s insert a score of 100. I can also do a quick check here to see which other campaigns in Journey Actions are using this thread. Let me do a quick check to make sure that there’s only one other campaign that contains this same channel configuration. Yes, confirming that I don’t need to worry about other actions leveraging the same surface. Once activated and the webpage button is clicked, I should now receive content from the higher priority campaign even though both campaigns are active. And yes, coming through is the content from the higher priority campaign. Please note that we also support inbound prioritization across campaigns and journeys, meaning that if the recipient qualifies for a journey action or campaign action that are both using the same channel configuration, only the highest priority will be returned. For the journey object, I input my priority here and all actions contained inherit the priority specified. In summary, the priority field enables you to determine which action to be returned in the case that multiple campaigns or journey actions are utilizing the same channel configuration. Thanks.
