Learn to create an IP pool to protect your sender reputation and boost email deliverability.

Transcript
In this video, we’ll show you how to set up IP pools in Adobe Journey Optimizer, which is a best practice that helps protect your sender reputation and boost email deliverability. Whether you’re sending marketing campaigns or transactional emails, organizing your IP addresses into separate pools is key to maintaining a healthy sender reputation and ensuring your messages land where they belong, in the inbox. It’s best practice to create one IP pool for marketing messages and another for transactional communications. This way, if your marketing emails ever encounter a deliverability issue, such as being flagged as spam, it won’t affect the critical messages your customers rely on like order confirmations and password resets. To get started, head to the Channels section in the Administration menu, then click IP Pools from the left panel. Here you’ll see a list of any existing pools. Let’s go ahead and click Create IP Pool on the canvas. Start by giving your IP pool a clear, descriptive name that reflects its purpose. In this example, we’ll call it Marketing IP Pool. While the description field is optional, it’s helpful to include a short summary so others can quickly understand the pool’s intended use. In the drop-down menu, you’ll see all the IP addresses provisioned for your instance. Each IP will display its associated pointer record, an important detail for verifying the branding tied to that address. To keep things consistent and aligned with your brand, it’s best to choose IPs that share the same pointer record. If an IP doesn’t have a pointer record set up, it won’t be selectable. If this is the case, you’ll need to contact your Adobe representative to have the pointer Once everything looks good, click Submit. And that’s it! Your IP pool is now created, listed, and ready to use. So that’s a look at IP Pools, an essential way to organize your traffic while also boosting deliverability, strengthening your branding, and maintaining a healthy sender reputation. Thanks for watching.
