Configure HTTP Streaming connection
Configure the form to send submission data to Adobe Experience Platform in real time using an HTTP-based integration, ensuring the event payload aligns with the schema.
Define HTTP streaming end point
Transcript
We use an HTTP streaming source in Adobe Experience Platform to ingest real-time event data from our web application. The HTTP streaming source acts as a secure endpoint where your website or application can send JSON payloads representing customer actions, such as submitting a form or choosing an investment preference. Creating this source is an essential step because the events it receives are what ultimately trigger the Adobe Journey optimizer journey. To create HTTP streaming source, log in to Journey Optimizer and navigate to Sources under Connections. Select HTTP API Streaming Source. Create a new account type. And then upload the sample JSON data file from the schema that was downloaded earlier in this course. Associate the dataset with the data flow. We are creating a new dataset and associate the schema created earlier in the course. Map the fields from the sample data to the fields in the schema. Complete the process of finishing the HTTP source connection. The streaming endpoint is listed in the right-hand side of the screen. This streaming endpoint will be used in the web application. Open the newly created data flow and copy the schema payload, which is a cURL command. In the web application, we take the structure of the cURL request and convert it into a JavaScript function that can send the event to Adobe Experience platform automatically whenever a user submits the form.
