Define a custom event called InvestmentPreference
Transcript
To trigger a journey based on real-time user actions, Adobe Journey Optimizer allows you to define custom events. A custom event represents a specific interaction or activity performed by a user, such as submitting a form or clicking a button. When this event occurs and AEP receives the data, AGO can immediately start a journey using that event as the entry point. To create custom event, log in to Journey Optimizer. Navigate to Configuration under Administration and open the Events card. Click Create Event to create new event. Accept the default values for Event Type and Event ID Type. Provide a meaningful name and description for the event. Associate the Investment Profile schema with the event. Define the fields to be used in the event. Specify the Event ID condition to ensure that the journey triggers only when the event matches certain criteria, instead of triggering for every event that hits AEP. Finally, specify the namespace and a profile identifier for the event.
