This video will explain the concept of roles templates introduced by Adobe Journey Optimizer Business to Business Edition. Creation of a buying group in Adobe Journey Optimizer Business to Business Edition is a process which consists of three steps. Step one is to configure who you want to target. And to do that, you need to create the roles template. Step two is to configure what are you selling. And to do that, you need to create a solution interest, product or set of products or service. Step three is to configure to whom are you selling. And to do that, you need to select an account audience. In this video, we’ll focus on step one and explain how to create a roles template. The question who you want to target is about the role of a person in making B2B purchasing decision. This could be a decision maker, the influencer or a practitioner. And this can be managed in AJO B2B with the roles template. To launch a Journey Optimizer B2B edition from your Adobe Experience Cloud homepage, you simply need to click Journey Optimizer B2B edition icon and the application will display Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B edition homepage. On the left side, there is a buying groups menu. Once you click on it, you will see a buying groups page with four tabs. First tab to the right is the roles templates tab. On this page, you may store existing roles templates or create a new ones. For existing roles templates, you see the template name when it is created, who created the template and the template status, which may be draft or alive. Before you publish the roles template, it is in a draft status and you cannot use it for buying group creation until you publish it. After publishing the roles template, it will be in a live status and you may use it for buying group creation by combining it with the solution interest. In this example, my B2B company is Luma. Luma sells multiple products and services. One service they sell is Luma Secure, an advanced cybersecurity suit. The primary buying group roles include decision maker, influencer and the practitioner. Each buying group role might map to different job titles or other criteria related to different people at that account. In AJAO B2B, we need to create a roles template for Luma Secure solution. Roles template name will be Luma Secure Roles and it will include three roles. At the beginning, you will click the create template button. Step one is to enter a roles templates name. Step two is to enter description and this is optional. Step three is to click the create button. You will see a new screen where you need to select roles for the members of your buying group and conditions that you need to meet to qualify for such role. We will enter the first role for this template. You will enter two properties, the role and the condition. In the buying group role drop down menu, you will select decision maker and after that you will click add condition button. And you will get the new screen where you need to expand the list of personal attributes and select an attribute that you want to use to match the role. We select the job title, drag it to the right and drop it in the filter space. We expand the job title, enter a CTO in this field and click enter. And then we enter the second title and click enter. And we enter the third title and click enter. And the last job title and click enter. Now we see that we have successfully entered the condition for decision maker that the job title is one of these four job titles. After defining conditions, you click the done button. And you see that we have entered the first buying group role, a decision maker to the roles template. Now we have to enter the second role to this role template. You will enter two properties, the role and the condition. We click add another role button. And we see a new section where we will enter the second role for this template. We select influencer. And we click add condition button and you see a new screen where you need to expand the list of personal attributes and select an attribute that you want to use to match the role. We select the job title, drag it to the right and drop it in the filter space. We expand the job title, enter the first job title and click enter. Then we enter second job title and click enter. And the third job title and click enter. After defining conditions, you click the done button. We have entered the second buying group role influencer to this template. Now we have to enter the third role to this template. You will enter two properties, the role and the condition. You click add another role button. And you see a new section where you will enter the third role for this template. You select practitioner. You click add condition button and you see a new screen where you need to expand the list of personal attributes and select an attribute that you want to use to match the role. We select the job title, drag it to the right and drop it in the filter space. You expand the job title, enter the first job title and click enter. Enter the second job title and click enter. Enter the second job title and click enter. Enter the third job title and click enter. After defining conditions, you click the done button. And you see that we have entered the third buying group role, practitioner. Once your template configuration is done, you will click the publish button. Publishing the template will switch the status from draft to live and make it available to associate with the solution in the template. To return to role templates homepage, you will click the left arrow. You may edit a template that is in a draft status by clicking on its name. You may edit a template name, its properties and conditions. To edit the template name, you will click the pencil icon. You can select another role. Or another weighting. Weighting determines the amount of weight that engagement for this role will have on the overall buying group engagement score. The last pencil icon opens a condition page where you may edit existing filter, delete it or add the new filter. Finally, you may reorder the priorities for the new filter. Finally, you may reorder the priorities of roles. Priority is a property which tells us to which role one will qualify if he or she qualifies for more than one role and they will qualify for the role with the highest priority. To switch priorities, you will click arrows. Once you are done with changes of the roles template, you can either move it into the live status by clicking the polish button. Or you may keep it in the draft status by clicking the back arrow. And you will return to roles templates homepage. You may edit the template that is in the live status by clicking on its name. Once the role template is live, you cannot add or remove roles. Add another role button is shaded out so you cannot add the new role. And you are not allowed to delete existing roles. But you are allowed to edit filter criteria on those roles. To add the new filter, you will click on the pencil icon. And you expand the personal attributes. Select another filter and drag it to the right. You expand the filter. Enter the value. Click the done button. And we see that new filter has been added. To remove the existing filter, you will select the new filter. To remove the existing filter, you will simply click the pencil icon. And the X button right to the filter you want to delete. And you confirm the delete. And we see that filter has been deleted. Finally, you may edit the existing filter. For example, you may add the new job title and click enter. Or you may click the X button to delete the job title. And this is the end of this video. We have explained the concept of roles templates introduced by Adobe Geny Optimizer B2B edition.
