These are the release notes for the 2 July 2026 release of the Universal Editor.

What’s New what-is-new

  • The editor now supports a preview meta tag to force the editor to load in preview mode.
  • The editor now supports a readonly meta tag to disable editing, so the user can still select any component, but can not change the content.

  • Accessibility improvements have been made to heading hierarchies.
  • Accessibility improvements have been made to maintain focus properly in the location bar to aid keyboard navigation of the editor.
